Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum maschinellen Verschliessen von Kuverts. Die Vorrichtung enthält eine Transporteinrichtung (1) zur Bewegung der Kuverts (2) in einer Transportrichtung (4) und eine Einrichtung (5) zum maschinellen Umklappen und Schliessen einer Kuvertlasche (6). Um ein genaues und zuverlässiges Verschliessen auch von dicht gefüllten Kuverts auch im Durchlaufbetrieb zu ermöglichen, weist die Einrichtung (5) zum maschinellen Umklappen und Schliessen der Kuvertlasche (6) mehrere in Transportrichtung (4) der Kuverts (2) drehbare und durch einen Antrieb (21) quer zur Transportrichtung (4) der Kuverts (2) bewegbare Drehkörper (8) auf.
