Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for the transmission of user-specific information in a broadcasting system, in which users are alternately shown first and second broadcasts in a reception area of the broadcasting system, and in which the same first broadcast is displayed to these users at the same time or is stored there. Furthermore, a radio transmission device according to the invention and a radio reception device according to the invention of the aforementioned radio system are also specified.
  • Broadcasting systems are designed to make information available to a wide range of users.
  • Known representatives for such systems are radio and television, but more recently the Internet, in which so-called “audio streams” or “video streams” are made available.
  • the invention relates to the synchronous transmission of information to all recipients.
  • Asynchronous information such as downloading a music file at any time, is excluded from the following consideration. It is also pointed out that the information transfer, particularly on the Internet, is not necessarily transmitted via a radio link. Nevertheless, the name “broadcast system” or “broadcast system” should be retained as the most appropriate term for the concerns of the invention.
  • a transmitting device on the Internet must have knowledge of the receivers so that the data streams can be routed correctly through the network.
  • a user logs on to a certain Internet address to receive an audio or video stream, all other users who are not logged on do not receive the data stream.
  • This registration process is not necessary in the case of a radio system; the broadcast program can be used in a known manner for all users in the reception area.

Usable bandwidth is therefore left over, for example, in a quiet passage of a piece of music or a break. The selection is advantageously made such that the program can be continued immediately after the block of second programs with a first program.
