本発明は、 多関節部を有する積層型関節部駆動機構及びその製造方法、 それを 備えた把持ハンド、 ロボットアーム、 及ぴ、 把持ハンドとロボットアームとを備 えるロボットに関するものであり、 特に多種多様な対象物の把持、 使用する人間 に対する安全性、 柔軟な動作を実現し、 低コストで製造が容易な積層型多関節部 駆動機構及びその製造方法、 それを備えた把持ハンド、 ロボットアームに関する ものである。 背景技術
従来、 多関節部駆動機構を有する把持ハンドは、 主として産業用口ポットのハ ンドとして工場内という限られた作業環境内において、 特定の部品を把持する用 途で用いられており、 特化された動作の高精度化、 '高速化等に関して検討、 考案 されている。 近年、 これに対して家庭内や病院等で、 家事支援や仕事支援、 高齢 者や障害者への介護支援等においての口ポット導入に関する開発がさかんとなり、 産業用ロボットでは不可能な多種多様な対象物の把持、 使用する人間に対する安 全个生、 これら条件を満たし、 力つ柔軟な動作を実現できる把持ハンドが求められ ている。 多様な対象物の把持に関しては特許第 3 2 4 5 0 9 5号に記載された口 ポットハンドが知られている。 このロボットハンドは 5指を有し、 4関節部 4自 由度の母指、 4関節部 3自由度 © 4指より構成され、 指先第 1関節部以外の関節 部に小型サーポモータを内蔵することで関節部駆動を行っている。
しかしながら、 このロボットハンドは構成部品点数が多く組立を必要とし、 か つ高価であるため現在はまだその使用用途が研究用と限定されている。
柔軟な動作を実現できる把持ハンドに関して、 その構成要素である空気ァクチ ユエータにおいては特許第 3 2 2 6 2 1 9号に記載されたものが知られている。 このァクチユエータは筒状弾性体内に隔壁を複数設けることで圧力室を構成し、 各圧力室を加圧することで弾性体を屈曲させる物である。 このァクチユエータを 複数組み合わせることで把持ハンドを構成し、 物体を把持することが可能である。
しかしながら、 人間の骨にあたる構成要素が存在しないため、 把持対象の形状 及び重量によってはァクチユエータが把持を維持することが困難となってしまう という問題点が生じる。 また、 各ァクチユエータを駆動させるためには、 筒状弹 性体の内部圧力室の数に相当する駆動配管が必要となる。 この場合、 配管数は増 加し、 配管の持つ剛性によってはァクチユエータの屈曲動作力以上の負荷がかか り、 十分にァクチユエータが屈曲できなくなる可能性も否定できない。
これら、 既に報告された把持ノヽンドには、 本発明による空圧を駆動源とし、 積 層型空圧配管部材と平面型関節部屈曲変形部材と関節部を有する骨材を備えてい るような把持ハンドに関しては開示されていない。
人間の居住空間内に各種支援を行うためのロボットを導入するためには、 支援 動作の主となる把持ハンドを実現する多関節部駆動機構が必要である。 また、 こ の多関節部駆動機構を備えた把持ノヽンドは、 多種多様な対象物の把持性能を有し、 安全であり、 また簡易な構造であり低コストで実現可能であることが要求されて いる。 ·''
■ 本発明の目的は、 上記の課題を解決し、 多種多様な対象物の把持性能を有する 把持ハンドを実現可能で、 力つ、 安全であり、 また簡易な構造であり低コストで 実現可能な積層型多関節部駆動機構及びその製造方法、 それを備えた把持ハンド、 口ポットアーム、 及び、 把持ハンドと口ポットアームとを備えるロボットを提供 する。 発明の開示
本発明は、 上記目的を達成するため、 以下のように構成している。
. 本発明の第 1態様によれば、 空圧の駆動源と、
少なくとも 2つの弾性変形可能な弹性変形部を有する骨材と、
上記骨材に重ね合わされるように固定され、 かつ、 上記駆動源に連結された少 なくとも 2系統の配管を有する積層型空圧配管部材と、 上記積層型空圧配管部材に重ね合わされるように固定され、 かつ、 上記骨材の 各弾性変形部に対向する関節部に配置されかつ上記配管のそれぞれに連結された 空圧動作室を有して上記空圧動作室に空圧が印加されることにより、 上記空圧が 印加された上記空圧動作室に対応する上記関節部が変形可能な平面型関節部変形 部材とを備えている積層型多関節部駆動機構を提供する。
本発明の第 6態様によれば、 第 1〜 5のいずれか 1つの態様に記載の上記積層 型多関節部駆動機構の製造方法であつて、
少なくとも上記弾性変形部に弾性ヒンジを備えた上記骨材を一括して成型し、 上記積層型空圧配管部材及び上記平面型関節部屈曲変形部材を上記骨材に積層 接合することを備える積層型多関節部駆動機構の製造方法を提供する。
本発明の第 7態様によれば、 第 1〜 5のいずれか 1つの態様に記載の上記積層 型多関節部駆動機構を対向配置して対象物を把持可能とすることで構成する把持 ハンドを提供する。
本発明の第 8態様によれば、 第 1〜 5のいずれか 1つの態様に記載の上記積層 型多関節部駆動機構を用いるロボットアームを提供する。
本発明の第 9態様によれば、 第 1〜 5のいずれか 1つの態様に記載の上記積層 型多関節部駆動機構を用いて構成され;: かつ、 第 7の態様に記載の上記把持ハン ドをアーム先端に備えるロポットアームを提供する。

以下に、 本発明にかかる実施の形態を図面に基づいて詳細に説明する前に、 ま ず、 本発明の種々の態様について説明する。 . 本発明の第 1態様によれば、 空圧の駆動源と、
少なくとも 2つの弾性変形可能な弾性変形部を有する骨材と、
上記骨材に重ね合わされるように固定され、 かつ、 上記駆動源に連結された少 なくとも 2系統の配管を有する積層型空圧配管部材と、
上記積層型空圧配管部材に重ね合わされるように固定され、 カゝつ、 上記骨材の 各弾性変形部に対向する関節部に配置されかつ上記配管のそれぞれに連結された 空圧動作室を有して上記空圧動作室に空圧が印加されることにより、 上記空圧が 印加された上記空圧動作室に対応する上記関節部が変形可能な平面型関節^変形 部材とを備えている積層型多関節部駆動機構を提供する。
これにより、 従来の空気ァクチユエータの利点である柔軟な駆動を生かし、 か つ配管の煩雑さを克服し、 モータを代表とするァクチユエータに比較して小型軽 量で製造が容易な関節部駆動機構を実現し、 骨材を有することで把持剛性の向上 を図ることが可能となるという作用を有する。
本発明の第 2態様によれば、 上記積層型空気配管部材が、 成型された複数の有 機膜を積層して上記配管を形成する第 1の態様に記載の積層型多関節部駆動機構 を提供する。
この構成によれば、 空圧を利用した駆動機構を構成する際に煩雑化するこ、とで、 その関節部駆動にも影響を与える可能性のある配管を積層構造にすることで、 製 造を容易にし、 低コスト化も図ることが可能となるという作用を有する。
本発明の第 3態様によれば、 上記平面型関節部屈曲変形部材は、 その平面型関 節部屈曲変形部材の長手方向沿いに伸縮可能な方向性を付与する拘束層を備えて、 上記平面型関節部屈曲変形部材の上記関節部が伸びるとき、 上記骨材の案内によ り屈曲動作を行う第 1又は 2の態様に記載の積層型多関節部駆動機構を提供する。 この構成によれば、 空圧を利用した関節部駆動機構に供給されるエネルギを効 率よく関節部の屈曲動作に変換することが可能となるという作用を有する。
本発明の第 4態様によれば、 上記骨材の上記複数の弾性変形部のそれぞれは、 '弾性ヒンジ部より構成される第 1〜3のいずれか 1つの態様に記載の積層型多関 節部駆動機構を提供する。
この構成によれば、 複数の関節部を有する骨材の各関節部を個々に製造するの ではなく、 関節部のみを弾性ヒンジ形状に加工することで一括して多関節部、 も しくは多指形状までをも製造できるという作用を有する。
本発明の第 5態様によれば、 上記平面型関節部屈曲変形部材の上記拘束層が、 網状の繊維を編み込んだ柔軟な有機膜材料である第 1〜4のいずれか 1つの態様 に記載の積層型多関節部駆動機構を提供する。
この構成によれば、 網状繊維により平面型関節部屈曲変形部材の伸縮方向を特 定の方向に制限することで、 空圧減から供給されるエネルギを効率よく関節部の 屈曲動作に変換することが可能となるという作用を有する。 ―
本発明の第 6態様によれば、 第 1〜 5のいずれか 1つの態様に記載の上記積層 型多関節部駆動機構の製造方法であって、
少なくとも上記弾性変形部に弾性ヒンジを備えた上記骨材を一括して成型し、 上記積層型空圧配管部材及び上記平面型関節部屈曲変形部材を上記骨材に積層 接合することを備える積層型多関節部駆動機構の製造方法を提供する。
この構成によれば、 各層ごとに成型を行い、 各層を密着接合することで積層型 多関節部駆動機構を製造すること力ゝら、 積層型多関節部関節部駆動機構を構成す る部品点数を最低限に抑え低コストで積層型多関節部駆動機構を製造できるとい う作用を有する。 .
本発明の第 7態様によれば、 第 1〜 5のいずれか 1つの態様に記載の上記積層 型多関節部駆動機構を対向配置して対象物を把持可能とすることで構成する把持 ハンドを提供する。 '
この構成によれば、 多種多様な対象物の把持、 使用する人間に対する安全性、 柔軟な動作を実現可能であるという作用を有する。
本発明の第 8態様によれば、 第 1〜 5のいずれか 1つの態様に記載の上記積層 型多関節部駆動機構を用いるロポットアームを提供する。
この構成によれば、 使用する人間に対する安全性、 柔軟な位置決め動作を実現 可能である。
本発明の第 9態様によれば、 第 1〜 5のいずれか 1つの態様に記載の上記積層 型多関節部駆動機構を用いて構成され、 カゝつ、 第 7の態様に記載の上記把持ハン ドをアーム先端に備えるロボットアームを提供する。 この構成によれば、 上記積層型多関節部駆動機構を対向配置した上記把持ハン ドをロボットアームの先端に備えることにより、 可動範囲にある把持対象物に対 して把持ハンドを安全に位置決めすることが可能となり、 使用する人間に対する 安全性、 柔軟な位置決め動作を実現可能である。

以下、 本発明の実施の形態について、 図 1から図 2 2を用いて説明する。
(第 1実施形態)
図 1は、 本発明の第 1実施形態における積層型多関節部駆動機構の断面図であ る。 図 1に示す積層型多関節部駆動機構は、 複数の関節部のそれぞれに弾性ヒン ジ部 1 Aを備えた骨材 1上に、 板状の積層型空圧配管形成部材 2及び平面型関節 部屈曲変形部材 3を積層したのち、 ポリイミド系接着剤などの接着剤で接着して 密着接合することで構成する。 この多関節部駆動機構は、 圧縮空気などを供給す る例えばエアーシリンダなどの空圧駆動源 4と、 空圧駆動源 4に連結された空圧 導入管を構成する空圧導入管 5と、 空圧導入管 5にそれぞれ電磁弁 1 7 a , 1 7 b , 1 7 cを有する複数の配管 2 a , 2 b , 2 cを介して連結された気体通過用 貫通穴 2 g, 2 h, 2 iを有する積層型空圧配管形成部材 2と、 積層型空圧配管 形成部材 2に密着接合された平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3とより構成して、 積層 型空圧配管形成部材 2の気体通過用貫通穴 2 g, 2 h , 2 iに空圧駆動源 4から 空圧を印加し、 平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3を膨張させることにより、 骨材 1の 弾性ヒンジ部 1 Aを屈曲点として関節部の屈曲を行うものである。
図 1及び図 2 Cにおいては、 骨材 1は、 基端部側より先端部側に向けて、 第 1 骨材本体部 I B— 1と、 第 1弾性ヒンジ部 1 A— 1と、 第 2骨材本体部 1 B— 2 と、 第 2弾性ヒンジ部 1 A— 2と、 第 3骨材本体部 1 B— 3と、 第 3弹性ヒンジ 部 1 A— 3と、 第 4骨材本体部 1 B— 4とが連結されて隣接配置されている。 以 下の説明において、 第 1〜第 4骨材本体部 1 B— 1〜: L B— 4に共通する場合に は骨材本体部 1 Bとして説明するとともに、 第 1〜第 3弾性ヒンジ部 1 A—:!〜 1 A- 3に共通する場合には弾性ヒンジ部 1 Aとして説明する。 弾性ヒンジ部 1 Aは骨材本体部 1 Bより薄肉に形成されて、 弾性変形可能となっている。
骨材 1は、 弾性ヒンジ部 1 Aを 3個配置して、 積層型多関節部機構の関節部数' を 3関節部としているが、 この積層型多関節部駆動機構が用いられる環境及び対 象物によって関節部数を変更してもよい。 また、 積層型多関節部機構の幅ないし は各部位の長さに関しても同様に変更してもよい。 この積層型多関節部駆動機構について、 その製造手順を参照しつつそれらの構 成を説明する。
図 2 A及び図 2 Bは、 上記積層型多関節部駆動機構の各関節部に弾性ヒンジ部 1 Aを備えた骨材 1の斜視図及び断面図である。 骨材 1は剛性が高く軽量な有機 材料 (例えば、 ポリエチレンテレフタレート又はポリプロピレンなど) を用い、 その外形形状と弾性ヒンジ部 1 Aと骨材本体部 1 Bを一括成型することを特徴と する。 ここで、 弾性ヒンジ部 1 Aとは、 骨材 1においてその屈曲を行うための部 位を骨材本体部 1 Bの厚みの 1 Z 2力 ら 1 / 4程度に成型した部分のこととする。 本発明の上記実施形態では単一材料で骨材 1の一括成型を行うため、 弾性ヒンジ 部 1 Aと骨材本体部 1 Bの弾性率は同じとなるが、 その厚みの差により、 骨材本 体部 1 Bよりも弾性ヒンジ部 1 Aを優先的に屈曲させることが可能となる。 骨材 1の材料の一例としてはポリプロピレンが挙げられる。 ポリプロピレンは材料そ のものがヒンジ性を有し、 繰り返し曲げ強度が大であることから繰り返し動作を 必要とする多関節部駆動機構の信頼性を向上させることが可能であると考えられ る。 骨材 1の一括成型の一例としては、 金型を用いた成型が挙げられる。 幅の広 い板材を成型し、 後に所望の幅で分離切断することで容易に多数の骨材 1を成型 して製造することが可能である。 骨材 1の別の製造方法としては板材の熱加工が 挙げられ、 加熱圧縮で弾†生ヒンジ部 1 Aを形成することで弾†生ヒンジ部 1 Aの素 材組織が密となり、 関節部の繰り返し曲げ強度も向上させることができる可能性 を有する。 図 2 Cは、 上記弾性ヒンジ部 1 Aが有する力学的特徴を示す斜視図で ある。 骨材 1は、 弾性ヒンジ部 1 Aを関節部として各骨材本体部 1 Bが接続され ている形状となっているため、 骨材 1にかかる Z軸方向の力 6は、 骨材 1の基端 側ではモーメントカ 7として支持することが、可能である。 このモーメントカ 7の 性質は、 弾性ヒンジ部 1 Aのねじれ剛性が高い場合には、 弾性ヒンジ部 1 Aの曲 げ角度によらず有効であり、 かつ平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3の発生力にも依存 しない。 この特徴により、 図 1 0に示されるように、 積層型多関節部駆動機構を 一対対向してハンドのように配置する場合には、 把持方向 (図 2 Cの Z軸方向と X軸方向に直交する方向、 言い換えれば、 骨材 1の厚み方向) に垂直である把持 対象物の重力落下方向 (図 2 Cの Z軸方向) に発生する力は、 骨材 1の構造的強 度により支えることができ、 空圧駆動源 4より供給されるエネルギは、 把持力に 効率的に変換することが可能となる。
図 3 A及び図 3 Bに積層型空圧配管形成部材 2の構成要素である有機膜 2 A, 2 B , 2 Cの分解斜視図及び有機膜 2 A, 2 B , 2 Cとを積層した後の積層型空 圧配管形成部材 2の断面図を示す。 上記積層型空圧配管形成部材 2は、 図 3 Aに 示されるように、 骨材 1と同じ形状で力つ 3枚とも同じ形状の有機膜 2 A, 2 B , 2 Cが密着積層されて構成されており、 となる第 1有機膜 2 A上に、 配管を 形成する第 2有機膜 2 Bを密着接合し、 フォトリソグラフィ一等により配管形状 加工を行い、 その上に第 3有機膜 2 Cを密着接合し平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3 に空圧を導入するためのスルーホールを形成することで構成する。 すなわち、 第 2有機膜 2 Bには、 互いに平行にかつ積層型空圧配管形成部材 2の長手方向沿レヽ に延ぴ力つ厚み方向に貫通した 3つの配管 2 a, 2 b , 2 cを備えている。 第 1 積層型空圧配管 2 aは、 最も短く、 先端に配管幅より大きな直径で力つ厚み方向 に貫通した第 1円形気体供給穴 2 dが形成されている。 第 2積層型空圧配管 2 b は、 第 1積層型空圧配管 2 aより長く、 先端に配管幅より大きな直径でかつ厚み 方向に貫通した円形気体供給穴 2 eが形成されている。 第 3積層型空圧配管 2 c は、 第 2積層型空圧配管 2 bより長く、 先端に配管幅より大きな直径で力つ厚み 方向に貫通した円形気体供給穴 2 f が形成されている。
また、 第 1有機膜 2 Aは、 貫通した穴 (スルーホール) は全く形成されていな い平板状となっている。
一方、 第 3有機膜 2 Cの基端部近傍には、 第 2有機膜 2 Bの第 1円形気体供給 穴 2 dに連通しかつ第 1円形気体供給穴 2 dより大径でかつ み方向に貫通した 第 1円形気体通過用貫通穴 2 gが形成され、 基端部と先端部の中間部には第 2有 機膜 2 Bの第 2円形気体供給穴 2 eに連通しかつ第 2円形気体供給穴 2 eより大 径でかつ厚み方向に貫通した第 2円形気体通過用貫通穴 2 hが形成され、 基端部 と先端部の中間部には第 2有機膜 2 Bの第 3円形気体供給穴 2 f に連通し力つ第 3円形気体供給穴 2 ίより大径でかつ厚み方向に貫通した第 3円形気体通過用貫 通穴 2 iが形成されている。
よって、 第 2有機膜 2 Bの各配管 2 a , 2 b , 2 cは、 第 3有機膜 2 Cと第 1 有機膜 2 Aとの間に通路として形成されることになる。
この積層型空圧配管形成部材 2の作製の一例を、 材料としてポリイミド膜及び 感光性ポリイミドを用いた場合の作製フローを図 4 A〜図 4 Fに示す。 まず、 基 材としての第 1有機膜 2 Aとなるポリイミド膜 (図 4 A参照) 上に第 2有機膜 2 Bとなる感光性ポリイミドをコーティングする (図 4 B参照) 。 コーティング後、 プリべークを行い、 その後、 配管 2 a, 2 b , 2 cに対応する配管のパターンを 有するフォトマスク 8を用いて感光性ポリイミドを露光レ (図 4 C参照) 、 現像、 及ぴ、 ポストべークを行い、 配管 2 a, 2 b , 2 cを形成する (図 4 D参照) 。 その上に、 第 3有機膜 2 Cとしての接着剤付きポリイミド膜を気密状態に接着し
(図 4 E参照) 、 配管 2 a , 2 b , 2 cと平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3を結ぶ第 1円形気体通過用貫通穴 2 gと第 2円形気体通過用貫通穴 3 hと第 3円形気体通 過用貫通穴 2 iの形成加工をレーザー光線 9のレーザー加工等で行うことで積層 型空圧配管部材 2を作製する (図 4 F参照) 。 又は、 先に第 1·円形気体通過用貫 通穴 2 gと第 2円形気体通過用貫通穴 2 hと第 3円形気体通過用貫通穴 2 iを形 成した接着剤付きポリイミド膜である第 3有機膜 2 Cを、 配管 2 a , 2 b , 2 c を形成した第 2有機膜 2 B及び第 1有機膜 2 A上に位置合わせを行レヽ、 気密状態 に接着してもよい。 このように空気配管 2 a, 2 b , 2 cを平面に配置形成する ことで、 多関節部駆動機構の各関節部を独立に動作させるための配管 2 a , 2 b , 2 cも一括で成型可能となる。
上記配管 2 a, 2 b , 2 cと空圧導入管 5との間には、 それぞれ電磁弁が配置 されており、 電磁弁の開閉により、 独立して個別的に配管 2 a, 2 b , 2 c内に 空気を供給及び供給停止可能としている。
図 5 A及ぴ図 5 Bに平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3の構成要素である基材 3 Aに 弾性層 3 Bと拘束層 3 Cとの 早斜視図及ぴ基材 3 Aに弹性層 3 Bと拘束層 3 C とを積層した後の平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3の断面図を示す。 平面型関節部屈 曲変形部材 3は、 第 1空圧動作用穴 3 gと第 2空圧動作用穴 3 hと第 3空圧動作 用穴 3 iとにそれぞれ独立して連通しカゝっそれぞれより小径の第 1円形気体供給 穴 3 dと第 2円形気体供給穴 3 eと第 3円形気体供給穴 3 f とを貫通して有する ¾# 3 A上に、 弾性を有する材料によって空圧動作室 1 6となる空隙としてのそ れぞれ貫通した四角形の第 1空圧動作用穴 3 gと四角形の第 2空圧動作用穴 3 h と四角形の第 3空圧動作用穴 3 iとを形成した弾性層 3 Bを気密状態に接着接合 し、 貫通した穴が無い平板状でかつ上記積層型多関節部駆動機構の伸縮に方向性 を付与する拘束層 3 Cとを気密状態に接着接合することで構成する。
ここで、 図 6 Aは、 拘束層 3 Cの伸縮方向を制限していない場合の関節部駆動 のモデル 断面図であり、 この条件下で平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3が空圧印加 によって図 6 Aの上向きに膨張した時の形状を表している。 この場合、 拘束層 3 C自体が空圧印加に伴レ、優先的に膨張してしまい、 目的とする関節部の屈曲動作 を行うことはできない。
これに対して、 図 6 Bは、 拘束層 3 Cの伸縮方向を一方向 (言い換えれば、 拘 束層 3 Cの長手方向) になるように制限を加えた場合の関節部駆動の,モデルの断 面図であり、 この条件下で平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3が空圧印加によつて膨張 し fこ時の形状を表している。 このように、 拘束層 3 Cの伸縮方向が一方向になる ことで、 空圧駆動源 4から供給されるエネルギを効率良く関節部の屈曲動作に変 換することが可能となる。
拘束層 3 Cの伸縮方向を一方向、 言い換えれば、 拘束層 3 Cの長手方向に制限 するためには、 図 7 Aに示すように拘束層 3 Cの伸縮方向に対して直角な方向に 繊維 1 0を編み込んだ柔軟な有機材料によって成型することが効果的である。 図 7 Bに、 伸縮方向に対して直角な方向に繊維 1 0を編み込んだ拘束層 3 Cに空圧 を印加した場合に拘束層 3 Cの伸び状態を表すモデルの平面図を示す。 図 7 A, 図 7 Bの上下方向沿いの繊維 1 0に対して直角な方向 (図 7 A, 図 7 Bの左右方 向言い換えれば拘束層 3 Cの長手方向) には有機材料の弾性により伸縮するが、 繊維 1 0に対して平行な方向 (図 7 A, 図 7 Bの上下方向言い換えれば拘束層 3 Cの幅方向) には、 繊維 1 0の長さによる伸縮の拘束力が働き伸縮を制限するこ とができる。
また、 図 8は拘束層 3 Cの伸縮方向を特定の方向 (言い換えれば、 拘束層 3 C の長手方向) に制限し、 力つ関節部に弾性ヒンジ 1 Aを備えた骨材 1を備えた場 合のモデルの断面図であり、 この条件下で平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3が空圧印 加によって膨張した時の形状を表している。 空圧印加により駆動する平面型関節 部屈曲変形部材 3の他に、 各関節部に弾†生ヒンジ 1 Aを備えた骨材 1を備えるこ とによってさらに関節部以外を拘束することで、 より効率的に空圧駆動源 4から 供給されるエネルギを関節部の屈曲動作に変換可能となるという効果が得られる。 よって、 この屈曲動作を詳述すると、 積層型空圧配管形成部材 2の第 1円形気 体供給穴 2 dと第 1円形気体通過用貫通穴 2 gと平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3の 第 1円形気体供給穴 3 dと第 1空圧動作用穴 3 gとが連結されて第 1弾性ヒンジ 部 1 A— 1の内面側に対向するように配置されて、 空圧駆動源 4から第 1積層型 空圧配管 2 aと第 1円形気体供給穴 2 dと第 1円形気体通過用貫通穴 2 gと第 1 円形気体供給穴 3 dとを経て第 1空圧動作用穴 3 g (第 1空圧動作室 1 6 A) に 空圧すなわち圧縮空気を供給することにより、 第 1空圧動作室 1 6 A付近の平面 型関節部屈曲変形部材 3の上記第 1関節部 3 aが弾性変形して長手方向沿いに仲 び、 第 1骨材本体部 1 B— 1と第 2骨材本体部 1 B _ 2とが第 1弾性ヒンジ部 1 A- 1を内側に位置するように屈曲する。
同様に、 積層型空圧配管形成部材 2の第 2円形気体供給穴 2 eと第 2円形気体 通過用貫通穴 2 hと平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3の第 2円形気体供給穴 3 eと第 2空圧動作用穴 3 hとが連結されて第 2弾性ヒンジ部 1 A— 2の内面側に対向す るように配置されて、 空圧駆動源 4から第 2積層型空圧配管 2 bと第 2円形気体 供給穴 2 eと第 2円形気体通過用貫通穴 2 hと第 2円形気体供給穴 3 eとを経て 第 2空圧動作用穴 3 h (第 2空圧動作室 1 6 B) に空圧すなわち圧縮空気を供給 することにより、 第 2空圧動作室 1 6 B付近の平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3の上 記第 2関節部 3 bが弾性変形して長手方向沿いに伸び、 第 2骨材本体部 1 B— 2 と第 3骨材本体部 1 B— 3とが第 2弾性ヒンジ部 1 A- 2を内側に位置するよう に屈曲する。
' 同様に、 積層型空圧配管形成部材 2の第 3円形気体供給穴 2 f と第 3円形気体 通過用貫通穴 2 iと平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3の第 3円形気体供給穴 3 f と第 3空圧動作用穴 3 iとが連結されて第 3弾性ヒンジ部 1 A- 3の内面側に対向す るように配置されて、 空圧駆動源 4から第 3積層型空圧配管 2 cと第 3円形気体 供給穴 2 f と第 3円形気体通過用貫通穴 2 iと第 3円形気体供給穴 3 f とを経て 第 3空圧動作用穴 3 i (第 3空圧動作室 1 6 C) に空圧すなわち圧縮空気を供給 することにより、 第 3空圧動作室 1 6 C付近の平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3の上 記第 3関節部 3 cが弾性変形して長手方向沿いに伸び、 第 3骨材本体部 1 B— 3 と第 4骨材本体部 1 B— 4とが第 3弾性ヒンジ部 1 A— 3を内側に位置するよう に屈曲する。
上記各構成要素である骨材 1、 積層型空圧配管形成部材 2及び平面型関節部屈 曲変形部材 3を気密状態に接着接合することで、 上記第 1実施形態の積層型多関 節部駆動機構を作製する。
さらに、 上記構成にかかる積層型多関節部駆動機構を制御部 1 2により駆動制 御する場合について説明する。 図 9に示されるように、 骨材 1の根元を接合部と して、 積層型多関節部駆動機構を固定部 1 1に配置固定する。 制御部 1 2は、 空 圧駆動源 4の駆動を制御するとともに、 第 1積層型空圧配管 2 aに介在された第 1電磁弁 1 7 aの開閉と、 第 2積層型空圧配管 2 bに介在された第 2電磁弁 1 7 bの開閉と、 第 3積層型空圧配管 2 cに介在された第 3電磁弁 1 7 cの開閉を制 御する。 また、 上記第 1関節部 3 aを駆動するための第 1空圧動作室 1 6 Aは、 上記第 1空圧動作用穴 3 gより構成され、 第 1空圧動作室 1 6 Aに空気が供給さ れることにより、 図 8のように第 1関節部 3 aが第 1弾性ヒンジ部 1 A— 1を中 心にその両側の第 1骨材本体部 1 B— 1と第 2骨材本体部 1 B— 2とのガイドに より屈曲するようにしている。 また、 上記第 2関節部 3 bを駆動するための第 2 空圧動作室 1 6 Bは、 上記第 2空圧動作用穴 3 hより構成され、 第 2空圧動作室 1 6 Bに空気が供給されることにより、 図 8のように第 2関節部 3 bが第 2弾性 ヒンジ部 1 A- 2を中心にその両側の第 2骨材本体部 1 B— 2と第 3骨材本体部 1 B— 3とのガイドにより屈曲するようにしている。 また、 上記第 3関節部 3 c を駆動するための第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cは、 上記第 3空圧動作用穴 3 iより構成 され、 第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cに空気が供給されることにより、 図 8のように第 3 関節部 3 cが第 3弾性ヒンジ部 1 A— 3を中心にその両側の第 3骨材本体部 1 B —3と第 4骨材本体部 1 B— 4とのガイドにより屈曲するようにしている。 上記多関節部駆動機構の動作は、 まず、 制御部 1 2が、 多関節部駆動機構の平 面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3の第 1関節部にある第 1空圧動作室 1 6 Aに空圧を印 加するための信号を発生させ、 制御部 1 2により、 空圧駆動源 4を駆動するとと もに第 1電磁弁 1 7 aを開ける。 この結果、 空圧駆動源 4から空気が、 第 1積層 型空圧配管 2 aと第 1円形気体供給穴 2 dと第 1円形気体供給穴 3 dとを経て、 第 1空圧動作用穴 3 gすなわち第 1空圧動作室 1 6 Aに供給され、 第 1空圧動作 室 1 6 Aに空気の圧力すなわち空圧を印加する。 この空圧の印加に伴い第 1空圧 動作室 1 6 Aが膨張することで第 1関節部が屈曲する。 第 1関節部の屈曲を元に 戻すときには、 制御部 1 2による空圧駆動源 4の駆動を停止させて第 1電磁弁 1 7 aを開けることにより、 第 1空圧動作室 1 6 Aでの空圧による膨張が解除され て、 第 1関節部は延びた状態に戻る。 また、 この第 1関節部の屈曲とは独立して、 制御部 1 2力 多関節部駆動機構の平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3の第 2関節部に ある第 2空圧動作室 1 6 Bに空圧を印加するための信号を発生させ、 制御部 1 2 により、 空圧駆動源 4を駆動するとともに第 2電磁弁 1 7 bを開ける。 この結果、 空圧駆動源 4から空 が、 第 2積層型空圧配管 2 bと第 2円形気体供給穴 2 eと 第 2円形気体供給穴 3 eとを経て、 第 2空圧動作用穴 3 hすなわち第 2空圧動作 室 1 6 Bに供給され、 第 2空圧動作室 1 6 Bに空気の圧力すなわち空圧を印加す る。 この空圧の印加に伴い第 2空圧動作室 1 6 Bが膨張することで第 2関節部が 屈曲する。 第 2関節部の屈曲を元に戻すときには、 制御部 1 2による空圧駆動源 4の駆動を停止させて第 2電磁弁 1 7 bを開けることにより、 第 2空圧動作室 1 6 Bでの空圧による膨張が解除されて、 第 2関節部は延びた状態に戻る。 また、 この第 2関節部の屈曲とは独立して、 制御部 1 2が、 多関節部駆動機構の平面型 関節部屈曲変形部材 3の第 3関節部にある第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cに空圧を印加す るための信号を発生させ、 制御部 1 2により、 空圧駆動源 4を駆動するとともに 第 3電磁弁 1 7 cを開ける。 この結果、 空圧駆動源 4から空気が、 第 3積層型空 圧配管 2 cと第 3円形気体供給穴 2 f と第 3円形気体供給穴 3 f とを経て、 第 3 空圧動作用穴 3 iすなわち第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cに供給され、 第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cに空気の圧力すなわち空圧を印加する。 この空圧の印加に伴い第 3空圧動作 室 1 6 Cが膨張することで第 3関節部が屈曲する。 第 3関節部の屈曲を元に戻す ときには、 制御部 1 2による空圧駆動源 4の駆動を停止させて第 3電磁弁 1 7 c を開けることにより、 第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cでの空圧による膨張が解除されて、 第 3関節部は延びた状態に戻る。 上記第 1実施形態によれば、 制御部 1 2による電磁弁 1 7 a , 1 7 b , 1 7 c の開閉制御により、 任意の関節部を確実に屈曲させることができる。
(第 2実施形態)
図 1 0及び図 1 1は、 第 1実施形態における積層型多関節部駆動機構を備えた 把持ハンドの斜視図及びプロック図であり、 複数例えば一対の積層型多関節部駆 動機構を対向して左右対称に備えることによつて把持機能を持たせたものである。 各骨材 1の根元を接合部として、 積層型多関節部駆動機構を固定部 1 1にそれぞ れ対向して配置固定する。
制御部 1 2は、 空圧駆動源 4の駆動を制御するとともに、 左右の第 1積層型空 圧配管 2 a, 2 aに介在された第 1電磁弁 1 7 a , 1 7 aの開閉と、 左右の第 2 積層型空圧配管 2 b, 2 bに介在された第 2電磁弁 1 7 b, 1 7 bの開閉と、 左 右の第 3積層型空圧配管 2 c, 2 cに介在された第 3電磁弁 1 7 c , 1 7 cの開 閉をそれぞれ独立して制御する。 また、 左右の各第 1関節部 3 aを駆動するため の第 1空圧動作室 1 6 Aは、 上記第 1空圧動作用穴 3 gより構成され、 第 1空圧 動作室 1 6 Aに空気が供給されることにより、 図 8のように第 1関節部 3 aが第 1弾性ヒンジ部 1 A- 1を中心にその両側の第 1骨材本体部 1 B— 1と第 2骨材 本体部 1 B _ 2とのガイドにより屈曲するようにしている。 また、 左右の各第 2 関節部 3 bを駆動するための第 2空圧動作室 1 6 Bは、 上記第 2空圧動作用穴 3 hより構成され、 第 2空圧動作室 1 6 Bに空気が供給されることにより、 図 8の ように第 2関節部 3 bが第 2弾性ヒンジ部 1 A— 2を中心にその両側の第 2骨材 本体部 1 B— 2と第 3骨材本体部 1 B— 3とのガイドにより屈曲するようにして レ、る。 また、 左右の各第 3関節部 3 cを駆動するための第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cは、 上記第 3空圧動作用穴 3 iより構成され、 第 3空圧動作.室 1 6 Cに空気が供給さ れることにより、 図 8のように第 3関節部 3 cが第 3弾性ヒンジ部 1 A— 3を中 心にその両側の第 3骨材本体部 1 B _ 3と第 4骨材本体部 1 B— 4とのガイドに より屈曲するようにしている。
上記多関節部駆動機構の動作は、 まず、 制御部 1 2が、 左右の多関節部駆動機 構の平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3, 3の左右の第 1関節部にある第 1空圧動作室 1 6 A, 1 6 Aに空圧を例えば同期して印加するための信号を発生させ、 制御部 1 2により、 空圧駆動源 4を駆動するとともに左右の第 1電磁弁 1 7 a , 1 7 a を同期して開ける。 この結果、 空圧駆動源 4から空気が、 左右の第 1積層型空圧 配管 2 a , 2 aと左右の第 1円形気体供給穴 2 d, 2 dと左右の第 1円形気体供 給穴 3 d , 3 dとを経て、 左右の第 1空圧動作用穴 3 g, 3 gすなわち左右の第 1空圧動作室 1 6 A, 1 6 Aにそれぞれ同期して供給され、 左右の第 1空圧動作 室 1 6A, 1 6 Aに空気の圧力すなわち空圧をそれぞれ同期して印加する。 この 左右の空圧の同期した印加に伴い左右の第 1空圧動作室 1 6 A, 1 6 Aがそれぞ れ同期して膨張することで左右の第 1関節部が同期して屈曲する。 左右の第 1関 節部の屈曲を元に戻すときには、 制御部 1 2による空圧駆動源 4の駆動を停止さ せて第 1電磁弁 1 7 a, 1 7 aを開けることにより、 第 1空圧動作室 1 6 A, 1 6 Aでの空圧による膨張が解除されて、 左右の第 1関節部は延びた状態に戻る。 また、 この左右の第 1関節部の屈曲とは独立して、 制御部 1 2力 左右の多関節 部駆動機構の平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3 , 3の左右の第 2関節部にある第 2空 圧動作室 1 6 B, 1 6 Bに空圧を例えば同期して印加するための信号を発生させ、 制御部 1 2により、 空圧駆動源 4を駆動するとともに左右の第 2電磁弁 1 7 b, 1 7 bを同期して開ける。 この結果、 空圧駆動源 4から空気が、 左右の第 2積層 型空圧配管 2 b, 2 bと左右の第 2円形気体供給穴 2 e, 2 eと左右の第 2円形 気体供給穴 3 e, 3 eとを経て、 左右の第 2空圧動作用穴 3 h, 3 hすなわち左 右の第 2空圧動作室 1 6 B, 1 6 Bにそれぞれ同期して供給され、 左右の第 2空 圧動作室 1 6 B, 1 6 Bに空気の圧力すなわち空圧をそれぞれ同期して印加する。 この左右の空圧の同期した印加に伴い左右の第 2空圧動作室 1 6 B, 1 6 Bがそ れぞれ同期して膨張することで左右の第 2関節部が同期して屈曲する。 左右の第 2関節部の屈曲を元に戻すときには、 制御部 1 2による空圧駆動源 4の駆動を停 止させて第 2電磁弁 1 7 b, 1 7 bを開けることにより、 第 2空圧動作室 1 6 B, 1 6 Bでの空圧による膨張が解除されて、 左右の第 2関節部は延びた状態に戻る。 また、 この左右の第 2関節部の屈曲とは独立して、 制御部 1 2力 左右の多関節 部駆動機構の平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3, 3の左右の第 3関節部にある第 3空 圧動作室 1 6 C, 1 6 Cに空圧を例えば同期して印加するための信号を発生させ、 制御部 1 2により、 空圧駆動源 4を駆動するとともに左右の第 3電磁弁 1 7 c 1 7 cを同期して開ける。 この結果、 空圧駆動源 4から空気が、 左右の第 3積層 型空圧配管 2 c, 2 cと左右の第 3円形気体供給穴 2 f, 2 f と左右の第 3円形 気体供給穴 3 f , 3 f とを経て、 左右の第 3空圧動作用穴 3 i, 3 iすなわち左 右の 3空圧動作室 1 6 C , 1 6 Cにそれぞれ同期して供給され、 左右の第 3空 圧動作室 1 6 C, 1 6 Cに空気の圧力すなわち空圧をそれぞれ同期して印加する。 この左右の空圧の同期した印加に伴い左右の第 3空圧動作室 1 6 C, 1 6 Cがそ れぞれ同期して膨張することで左右の第 3関節部が同期して屈曲する。 左右の第 3関節部の屈曲を元に戻すときには、 制御部 1 2による空圧駆動源 4の駆動を停 止させて第 3電磁弁 1 7 c , 1 7 cを開けることにより、 第 3空圧動作室 1 6 C , 1 6 Cでの空圧による膨張が解除されて、 左右の第 3関節部は延びた状態に戻る。 上記第 2実施形態によれば、 制御部 1 2による左右の電磁弁 1 7 a, 1 7 b , 1 7 cの開閉制御により、 任意の左右の関節部を確実に屈曲させて把持動作を行 わせることができる。
上記第 2実施形態の変形例として、 図 1 2及び図 1 3は、 第 1実施形態におけ る積層型多関節部駆動機構を備えた把持ハンドの斜視図及びプロック図であり、 2対の積層型多関節部駆動機構を対向して左右対称に備えることによつて把持機 能を持たせたものである。 各骨材 1の根元を接合部として、 積層型多関節部駆動 機構を固定部 1 1にそれぞれ対向して配置固定する。 各積層型多関節部駆動機構 の動作は、 図 1 0の上記第 2実施形態と同様であるため、 説明を省略する。
また、 図 1 2及ぴ図 1 3では偶数本例えば 2本の積層型多関節部駆動機構を左 右対称に配置しているが、 把持対象物の形状によっては、 本発明の第2実施形態 の別の変形例として、 図 1 4のプロック図及び斜視図に示すように左側 2本の積 層型多関節部駆動機構に対して右側 1本の積層型多関節部駆動機構の左右非対称 な配置にしてもよい。 各積層型多関節部駆動機構の動作は、 図 1 0の上記第 2実 施形態と同様であるため、 説明を省略する。
また、 複数配置される積層型多関節部駆動機構の各々の長さ及び幅もその対象 物に合わせて変更して配置してもよレ、。
また、 本発明の第 2実施形態のさらに別の変形例として、 図 1 5及び図 1 6の 斜視図及びプロック図に示すように、 固定部 1 1に対して各基端部が固定される ように 4本の積層型多関節部駆動機構を左右対称に、 すなわち 2本ずつ左右に配 置し、 各積層型多関節部駆動機構に空圧駆動源 4をそれぞれの空圧導入管 5を介 ■して接続し、 4個の空圧駆動源 4 , 4は制御部 1 2により駆動制御されるよ うに構成されるとともに、 各骨材 1の把持面側に、 制御部 1 2に接続されて対象 物との接触を検出する接触センサ 1 3、 制御部 1 2に接続されて対象物との接触 したときの圧力を検出する感圧センサ 1 4、 制御部 1 2に接続されて対象物との 接触したときの摩擦力を検出する摩擦センサ 1 5等をそれぞれ配置している。 そ して、 各センサ 1 3, 1 4 , 1 5でそれぞれ検出された物体の把持情報を制御部 1 2にフィードバックして、 制御部 1 2により、 4個の空圧駆動源 4 , ···, 4を それぞれ独立して駆動制御して、 それぞれの空圧動作室へ供給される空圧を制御 してそれぞれの関節部の屈曲動作を制御することで、 より効果的に把持動作を実 現することが可能となる。 さらに、 その各骨材 1の把持面の少なくとも一部を摩 擦抵抗の大きい柔軟な材料で覆うことで、 把持能力を向上させることが可能とな る。
このように、 上記実施形態によれば、 把持ハンドは前述した積層型多関節部駆 動機構を用いているため軽量小型であり、 空圧を駆動源 4として弾性体の膨張を その駆動源としていることからコンプライアンスが高く、 この特^ [により万が一 人間に接触、 衝突した際にも十分に安全を保つことが可能である。 また、 センサ 部以外は電気的配線が必要ないため、 センサ部の防水処理だけで、 水を用いた作 業環境でも使用できるという利点を有している。
次に、 図 1 7から図 2 2を用いて、 例えば図 1 5及ぴ図 1 6に示す上記第 2実 施形態のさらに別の変形例にかかる把持ハンドの具体的な把持動作について説明 する。
把持ハンドの動作は、 以下のようにして動作して屈曲動作により、 それぞれの 骨材 1を把持面として対象物の把持動作を行う。
まず、 図 1 7に示す把持ノヽンドの中立状態において、 制御部 1 2から各多関節 部駆動機構の平面型関節部屈曲変形部材 3の各関節部にある第 1空圧動作室空圧 動作 1 6 A、 第 2空圧動作室 1 6 B、 第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cに空圧をそれぞれ印 加するための信号を発生させる。 この信号により、 4個の空圧駆動源 4, …, 4 のそれぞれが独立して駆動制御されて、 それぞれの空圧導入管 5の途中に設けて ある電磁弁 1 7の開閉を行い、 空圧駆動源 4からそれぞれの空圧導入管 5及び各 積層型空圧配管形成部材 2を通じて第 1空圧動作室 1 6 A、 第 2空圧動作室 1 6 B、 第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cにそれぞれ空圧を同期又は順次印加する。 空圧の印加 に伴レ、第 1空圧動作室 1 6 A、 第 2空圧動作室 1 6 B、 第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cが それぞれ膨張することで関節部がそれぞれ屈曲する。 この屈曲動作により、 それ ぞれの骨材 1を把持面として対象物 1 8の把持動作を行う。
図 1 7は、 多関節部駆動機構に空圧を印加していない中立状態の上記把持ハン ドの状態 (それぞれの多関節部駆動機構が直線状に延びた状態) を示す平面図で ある。 この積層型多関節部駆動機構は、 制御部 1 2の制御の下にそれぞれの空圧 駆動源 4から空圧をそれぞれの空圧動作室に印加するとそれぞれの多関節部駆動 . 機構が把持方向すなわち互いに接近する方向に変位し、 制御部 1 2の制御の下に それぞれの空圧駆動源 4の駆動を停止させて空圧の印加を止めると、 それぞれの 多関節部駆動機構の各弾性ヒンジ 1 Aの弾性によりそれぞれの多関節部駆動機構 が元の位置に復元し、 把持ノ、ンドが中立状態を保つという作用を有する。 把持動 ' ' 作はこの中立状態から、 制御部 1 2の制御の下に各関節部にその把持対象物に応 じた空圧を印加することで実現する。
図 1 8 A, 図 1 8 Bは、 上記把持ハンドの中立状態での各多関節部駆動機構の 間隔と同程度の大きさ (直径又は幅) を持つ例えば円筒体又は円柱体形状の把持 対象物 1 8を把持する場合のモデルを示した平面図である。 図 1 8 Aに示すよう に、 まず、 把持対象物 1 8が固定部 1 1の近傍まで近づくように把持ハンドを、 把持ノ、ンドが载置された図示しない搬送車などにより移動する。 その後、 制御部 1 2の制御の下に、 それぞれの空圧駆動源 4から図 1 8 Bに示すように各多関節 部駆動機構の固定部 1 1に近い方の第 1空圧動作室 1 6 Aに空圧を印加し、 第 1 関節部を内向きにすなわち把持方向に屈曲させる。 それぞれの把持面が把持対象 物 1 8に接触した時点 (例えば各多関節部駆動機構の把持面に備えた接触センサ により把持対象物 1 8に接触した信号を制御部 1 2に入力した時点) で制御部 1 2の制御の下に、 それぞれの空圧駆動源 4からそれぞれの第 2空圧動作室 1 6 B に空圧を印加してそれぞれの第 2関節部を屈曲させて、 4本の多関節部駆動機構 で把持対象物 1 8を抱き込むことで把持を行う。 把持を解除するときは、 上記し たように、 制御部 1 2の制御の下にそれぞれの空圧駆動源 4の駆動を停止させて 空圧の印加を止め、 それぞれの多関節部駆動機構の各弾性ヒンジ 1 Aの弾性によ りそれぞれの多関節部駆動機構が元の位置に復元して屈曲せずにまっすぐ延びた 状態となり、 把持ハンドが中立状態、 すなわち、 把翻军除状態となる。

図 2 0 A, 図 2 0 B及び図 2 1は、 把持対象物が把持ハンドの中立状態での各 多関節部駆動機構の間隔より大きい直径又は幅を持つ例えば円筒体又は円柱体形 状の把持対象物 2 0を把持する場合のモデルを示した平面図である。 この例では、 各積層型多関節部機構に連結された空圧駆動源 4は、 空圧印力 Π機能に加えて、 逆 駆動 (排気駆動) 制御可能又は減圧ポンプなどの強制排気機能をも有するもので あり、 制御部 1 2の制御によりそれぞれの空圧駆動源 4を排気駆動させて、 図 2 0 Aの中立状態から図 2 0 Bに示すように各積層型多関節部機構の第 1空圧動作 室 1 6 A、 第 2空圧動作室 1 6 B、 第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cより空気を強制的にそ れぞれ排気することで、 各積層型多関節部駆動機構の空圧を印加していない中立 の状態より更にその間隔を広げて、 把持対象物 2 0を把持ハンド内に入れやすく する。 その後、 把持対象物 2 0が各多関節部駆動機構の先端部近傍まで近づくよ うに把持ノヽンドを、 把持ハンドが载置された図示しない搬送車などにより移動す る。 その後、 図 2 1に示すように制御部 1 2の制御の下に、 それぞれの空圧駆動 源 4から各多関節部駆動機構の固定部 1 1に近い方の第 1空圧動作室 1 6 Aから 順に第 2空圧動作室 1 6 B、 第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cに空圧をそれぞれ印加し、 関 節部を内向きにすなわち把持方向に屈曲させる。 それぞれの把持面が把持対象物 , 2 0に接触した時点 (例えば各多関節部駆動機構の把持面に備えた接触センサに より把持対象物 1 8に接触した信号を制御部 1 2に入力した時点) で制御部 1 2 の制御の下に、 それぞれの空圧駆動源 4からそれぞれの第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cに さらに空圧を印加してそれぞれの第 2関節部を屈曲させて、 4本の多関節部駆動 機構で把持対象物 2 0を挟み込むことで把持を行う。 把持を解除するときは、 上 記したように、 制御部 1 2の制御の下にそれぞれの空圧駆動源 4の駆動を停止さ せて空圧の印加を止め、 それぞれの多関節部駆動機構の各弾性ヒンジ 1 Aの弾性 によりそれぞれの多関節部駆動機構が元の位置に復元して屈曲せずにまっすぐ延 びた状態となり、 把持ハンドが中立状態、 すなわち、 把持解除状態となる。 さら に、 より確実に把持解除するために、 各積層型多関節部機構の第 1空圧動作室 1 6 A、 第 2空圧動作室 1 6 B、 第 3空圧動作室 1 6 Cより空気を強制的にそれぞ 気す ことで、 各積層型多関節部駆動機構の空圧を印加していない中立の状 態より更にその間隔を広げて、 把持対象物 2 0を把持ハンドから外れやすくする。 このように少なくとも一対の多関節部駆動機構を備えた把持ハンドは多種多様 な対象物の把持を可能にするという特徴を有する。
(第 3実施形態)
図 2 2は、 図 1の積層型多関節部駆動機構の口ポットアームの先端に上記第 2 実施形態にかかる図 1 2の把持ノヽンドを備えた、 本発明の第 3実施形態における 積層型多関節部駆動機構を用いたロボットの斜視図である。 図 2 2の口ポットアーム 2 1の構成は、 第 1実施形態における図 1に示す積層 型多関節部駆動機構を用いたもので、 駆動原理は第 1実施形態の説明で述べた通 りである。 ロボットアーム 2 1は、 空圧駆動源を有するロボットアーム支柱 2 2 に回転機構 2 3を介して接続されており、 さらに、 ロボットアーム 2 1の先端部 には、 第 2実施形態における図 1 2に示す把持ノヽンド 2 4が接続されている。 口 ポットアーム 2 1の駆動により把持ハンド 2 4が可動範囲にある任意の位置に位 置決めされ、 把持対象物を把持する機能を有する。 このロボットアーム 2 1は、 本発明の積層型多関節駆動機構を用いたものであるから、 前述したごとく、 使用 する人間に対する安全性を確保できる柔軟な位置決めを可能とするものである。 さらに、 この積層型多関節部駆動機構をロボットアーム 2 1に適用する:^、 図 2 2の第 3実施形態のごとく、 その積層面を鉛直方向に配置するように構成す ること力 きらに望ましい。 このような構成にすることにより、 骨材 1の面内剛 性が高いことから、 重い把持対象物をこの骨材 1で支えることができ、 重い把持 対象物を扱うことができる。
尚、 図 2 2の第 3実施形態においては、 ロボットアーム 2 1を、 ロボットァー ム支柱 2 2に回転機構 2 3を介して接続する構成について示したが、 このような ― 1軸又は多軸の回転機構をロボットアーム支柱 2 2の根本部、 又はロボットァー ム 2 1と把持ハンド 2 4との間に設けるなどの構成を取ることを妨げるものでは ない。 このような多軸の回転機構と組み合わせることにより、 より柔軟な把持ハ ンド 2 4の姿勢を取らしめることができる。 なお、 上記様々な実施形態のうちの任意の実施形態を適宜組み合わせることに より、 それぞれの有する効果を奏するようにすることができる。
以上のように本発明によれば、 少なくとも 2つの弾性変形可能な弾性変形部を 有する骨材と、 上記骨材に重ね合わされるように固定され、 カゝつ、 空圧の駆動源 に連結された少なくとも 2系統の配管を有する積層型空圧配管部材と、 上記積層 型空圧配管部材に重ね合わされるように固定され、 つ、 上記骨材の各弾性変形 部に対向する関節部に配置されかつ上記配管のそれぞれに連結された空圧動作室 を有して上記空圧動作室に空圧が印加されることにより、 上記空圧が印加された 上記空圧動作室に対応する上記関節部が変形可能な平面型関節部変形部材とを備 えることにより、 駆動させたい関節部に対応する上記空圧動作室に空圧を印加す ることにより当該関節部が変形可能となり、 多種多様な対象物の把持性能を有す る把持ノヽンドを実現可能で、 つ、 全であり、 また簡易な構造であり低コスト で実現可能な積層型多関節部駆動機構を提供することができる。
この積層型多関節部駆動機構を対向配置して対象物を把持可能とする把持ハン ドは、 多種多様な対象物の把持性能を有し、 安全であり、 多関節部を有する把持 ハンドを簡易な構造で、 かつ低コストで実現することが可能となる。
また、 上記積層型多関節部駆動機構を製造するとき、 少なくとも上記弾性変形 部に弾性ヒンジを備えた上記骨材を一括して成型し、 上記積層型空圧配管部材及 ぴ上記平面型関節部屈曲変形部材を上記骨材に積層接合することにより、 簡単に かつ低コストで上記積層型多関節部駆.動機構を製造することができる。
さらに、.本発明の積層型多関節部駆動機構は多関節部駆動機構を構成する骨材 がその関節部に弾性ヒンジを備える場合には、 関節部の自由度を 1自由度に拘束 することで把持剛性の向上を図ることが可能となり、 より効果的に上記効果を達 成することができる。 ' ' .
さらに、 本発明の積層型多関節部駆動機構を用いたロボットアームは、 その先 端に把持ハンドを備えることにより、 可動範囲にある把持対象物に対して把持ノヽ ンドを安全に位置決めすることが可能となる。
本発明は、 添付図面を参照しながら好ましい実施形態に関連して充分に記載さ れているが、 この技術の熟練した人々にとつては種々の変形や修正は明白である。 そのような変形や修正は、 添 ^"した請求の範囲による本発明の範囲から外れない 限りにおいて、 その中に含まれると理解されるべきである。
