Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a sound wave opening and shutting type case of headphones, and more particularly, to a sound wave opening and shutting type case of headphones which can selectively open or shut a sound wave generated by a speaker unit (or a back sound generated from a back surface of the speaker unit) and adjust a degree of opening thereof.
  • a reverberation space is formed where a reverberation phenomenon is formed as in a bath room before a sound wave generated by a speaker unit arrives at an ear of a hearer.
  • the reverberation space improves a sound field (staging) and softens mixture of sounds so as to make the hearer comfortable and provide a sense of being in a large space where musical performance is made.
  • the conventional headphones can be divided into sealed type headphones in which a back sound generated from a back surface of a speaker unit is completely sealed by being encompassed by an enclosure, and open type headphones in which the back sound generated from a back surface of a speaker unit is partially open by an enclosure where holes are formed.
  • the sealed type headphones and the open type headphones have both merits and demerits.
  • the sealed type headphones can reproduce a so-called hard sound by removing before-and-after vibrations of a diaphragm of a speaker using air pressure in a sealed space in a read side of the speaker, in particular, removing unpleasant booming (unnecessary vibrations of a speaker) in a lower frequency range.
  • the speaker diaphragm obtusely reacts to an electric signal by excessive interference by the sealed air pressure so that resolution of sound is lowered and dynamic sound cannot be reproduced.
  • the speaker diaphragm is exposed to the air and the before-and-after vibrations of the speaker is not prevented by the air, the speaker sensitively reacts to an electric signal so that a sound resolution is improved and a dynamic sound can be reproduced.
  • unpleasant booming is generated in a low frequency range by inertia of the speaker diaphragm so that sound is not tight.
  • the conventional headphones are separately manufactured into the open type and the sealed type, a user cannot select the open type or the sealed type or adjust a degree of opening thereof according to personal taste or the type of a reproduced source.
