L'invention concerne un appareil destiné à amortir le choc d'une collision automobile. Cet appareil comprend une tige de support fixée dans un rail guide ou une entretoise par un élément de support, au moins un élément rotatif, ce ou ces éléments étant chacun monté de façon rotative sur la tige de support et rempli de gaz à une pression prédéterminée pour absorber un choc lors d'une collision avec une automobile, une vanne rotative placée le long d'une circonférence extérieure de l'élément rotatif pour faire tourner cet élément rotatif autour de la tige de support au moyen d'air ambiant, au moins une lampe destinée à illuminer la surface circonférentielle intérieure ou extérieure de l'élément rotatif, et une génératrice d'électricité possédant un stator placé autour de la tige de support et un rotor adjacent au stator dans l'élément rotatif.
