Definitions
- the present invention relates to a pressing device which is suitable for pressing coupling elements with the features of the preamble of patent claim 1.
- Such pressing devices have a fork-shaped receptacle in which an exchangeably held tool is held by means of a connecting bolt.
- a tool can be used which has two swivel arms which can be moved relative to one another and which are each pivotable relative to one another between two support plates about a bearing pin.
- the bearing plates which mostly have an approximately T-shaped shape, have, in addition to the holes in which the bearing pins engage, a third hole through which the connecting pin extends when the tool is inserted in the fork-shaped receptacle.
- the pressing device has electromechanically or hydraulically actuated pressure rollers which rest on the two flanks of the two swivel arms facing each other and thus press the two swivel arms apart in this area. the areas in front of the two bearing pins move towards each other.
- Such pressing devices have been brought onto the market with great success in recent years. They are preferably used to press coupling elements together and thus connect two parts to one another.
- Known, mostly cylindrical coupling elements are, for example, press sleeves, press fittings or pipe sockets, but also pipe sections pushed directly into one another. Accordingly, these pressing devices are widely used in the home installation area. Such devices are used in particular when building heating systems, sanitary facilities and gas pipeline networks. The installers who work with these devices change the tools they contain, depending on the condition of the connections to be made and the dimensions of the connections to be made.
- the plumbers for sanitary facilities must use a U-shaped profile, on which the pipes can be positioned differently horizontally or vertically.
- other rod-shaped material is used for the assembly, such as metal rods or threaded rods.
- smaller auxiliary materials must also be used, which must be provided with appropriate elongated holes. It is endeavoring if additional machines are required for all these secondary activities, which have to be fed via lines and which nevertheless can often only perform the desired activities with little precision and with considerable circumstances.
- Scissor plates either have the shape of Scenes of a profile to be cut, as stated as a preferred embodiment in claim 4, or the two scissor plates can also have a plurality of transverse round holes so as to cut rod material with various diameters.
- the two scissor plates it is also possible, as stated in claim 8, to design the two scissor plates as a male and female mold, so that the same pressing device can also be used in a suitable manner for punching work, for example for the design of elongated holes.
- Figure 1 shows the overall view of a known
- FIG. 2 shows the known crimping pliers shown in the top view alone;
- FIG. 3 shows a tool according to the invention which can be inserted into the known pressing device in the open state with inserted scissor plates and
- Figure 4 shows the same tool in the actuated state in the same view as in Figure 3;
- Figure 5 shows the tool according to Figures 3 and 4 in a side view, while the
- FIGs 6 and 7 show the two scissor plates on their own.
- Figure 8 again shows a tool with inserted scissor plates in the open
- Figure 10 shows this arrangement in side view.
- FIGS. 11 and 12 show the two scissor plates running against each other on their own.
- FIG. 13 shows an open tool with an inserted one
- Punching unit consisting of die and patrix from above and Figure 14 shows the same view as Figure 13 in the closed state, while again the
- Figure 15 shows a corresponding side view.
- Figure 16 shows the patrix in supervision
- Figure 17 shows a side view with a view of the stamp.
- FIG. 18 shows the die matching the patrix according to FIG. 16 in top view
- Figure 19 shows the die in a side view with a view of the stamp holder.
- the pressing device designated by 1 is shown in perspective in FIG. 1.
- Such pressing devices are usually operated electrically either from the mains or from a rechargeable battery.
- a corresponding electric motor is present in the drive housing 2, which is able to advance and retract corresponding pressure rollers 6 either mechanically via a spindle or hydraulically by means of a pump and a piston-cylinder unit.
- the battery is often housed in handle 3.
- This fork-shaped receptacle 4 is one
- Connecting bolt 5 passes through.
- working installer or fitter optionally places a tool 10 in the receptacle 4, for which purpose he removes the secured connecting bolt, inserts the tool 10 and then reinserts and secures the connecting bolt 5.
- the tool 10 drawn for itself in FIG. 2 has two swivel arms 11 which are mounted so as to be pivotable between two mostly T-shaped support plates 12 by means of a bearing pin 13.
- the two carrier plates 12 positioned exactly one above the other each have a connecting bolt hole 14 through which the already mentioned connecting bolt 5 of the receptacle 4 is pushed.
- the pressure rollers 6 of the pressing device 1 now come to rest on the running surfaces 15 of the two pivot arms 11 and drive them pivoting outward about the two bearing bolts 13, the front ends of the pivot arms 11, which are referred to as clamping arms 16, being simultaneously to be moved towards each other.
- the position shown in Figure 2 thus corresponds to the closed position.
- the fittings to be pressed are larger than the receptacle of the clamp arms 16, so that at the start of the clamping operation the two pivot arms 11 in the area in which the pressure rollers 6 operate are closer to each other than shown in FIG. 2 and must therefore be pressed apart , Based on these premises, which are known per se, it was therefore the object of the present invention to provide additional tools which can be operated with the known pressing device and which correspond to these tools in their basic design.
- FIGS. 3-7 show a first exemplary embodiment of a tool which is suitable for cutting rod material with an essentially round cross section.
- the tool designated as a whole by 10
- the tool 10 can be connected to the receptacle 4 by means of the connecting bolt 5 via the connecting bolt hole 14.
- the schematically represented pressure rollers 6 are shown in FIG. 3 in the starting position and in FIG. 4 in the actuated end position.
- Cutting plates 20 and 21 are held here between the two front ends of the swivel arms 11, the so-called clamping arms 16.
- Six transverse round holes 22 are formed in each insert 20 or 21. Two round holes of similar size are overlapped.
- the two opposite cutting inserts 20 and 21 each have a driving hole 23 corresponding to a fastening bolt on one side and a leading elongated hole 24 corresponding to the same diameter on the other side.
- the two swivel arms 11, which are referred to as clamping arms 16 in the front area have a fork-shaped receptacle which is formed by a corresponding central milling 27.
- the width of the cutout 27 corresponds at least to the thickness of the two scissor plates 20 and 21 lying one on top of the other.
- a fastening bolt 26 with a corresponding head 28 is shown passing through the fork 25 and the two scissor plates 20 and 21.
- the fastening bolt 26 can be designed as a resilient expanding bolt and thus can be positively held in one prong of the fork 25 and non-positively in the other.
- the fastening bolt 26 engages in one plate each with the driving hole 23 and in the counter-rotating scissors plate with the leading elongated hole 24.
- the two scissor plates 20 and 21 realized as simple flat plates. A minimal pivoting movement with respect to the fastening bolts 26 is in principle possible. However, it is quite so possible to make the two scissor plates 20 and 21 much thicker and to attach them to the two swivel arms 11 instead of in a fork-shaped receptacle on one side. However, in order to guide the two cutting inserts, these must accordingly be provided with a tongue and groove, so that a secure parallel guidance of the two scissor inserts is achieved. In the preferred embodiment shown here, the two scissor plates can be made thinner and significantly cheaper without additional guide measures being required.
- the two leading elongated holes 24 do not need to be opened to the side, as shown here, but could also be elongated holes which are closed per se. However, it is preferable to choose the open elongated holes, since this enables the replaceable scissor plates 20 and 21 to be installed more quickly and easily.
- FIGS. 8-12 show an embodiment by means of which a particularly widespread profile can be cut to length. In these figures, those are only shown previously to explain the mode of operation
- Clamping arms 16 are in turn designed as a fork 25 and Scissor plates 20 and 21 are again held or guided in the cutout 27 by means of a fastening bolt 26.
- the two scissor plates 20 and 21 shown in FIGS. 11 and 12 are provided with link-shaped bushings 29 which are designed in a shape corresponding to a profile cross section which is extremely widespread in sanitary installations.
- the guide bushings 29 should be arranged in the two scissor plates so that no wall area of the cross section runs parallel to the actuation direction of the two scissor plates. This is also not the case in the example shown here. Accordingly, the stroke distance with the corresponding shearing movement need only be relatively small.
- the two scissor plates 20 and 21 have corresponding driver holes 23 and leading elongated holes 24.
- the leading elongated holes 24 are also shorter than in the example shown above.
- different tools 10 are in no way required for the two applications shown here, but only different scissor plates 20 and 21.
- the basic structure of the tools 10 is again identical here. These in turn consist of the swivel arms 11, which are designed in the front area as clamping arms 16 and which in turn are arranged between two T-shaped support plates 12. Again, the pivot arms 11 are supported by means of bearing bolts 13 in the two support plates 12 mentioned. However, the scissor plates are designed here as male 30 and female 31. To guide the male and female dies, corresponding guide bolts 32 will be provided in one part and corresponding guide bores 33 in the other part. As is known from the stamping technique, the male part has a stamp 34 and the female part has a stamp holder 35. Behind the stamp holder or stamp set 35 there is an ejection opening 36 in the female part, through which the punched-out material can be removed laterally.
- the die and patrix are designed so that elongated holes can be punched out with them.
- the die is designed with a receiving opening 37 such that a profile can be inserted therein which corresponds to the profile that can be inserted by means of the tool, as shown in FIGS. 8-12.
- male and female can be made in one or two parts.
- a possibility of a two-part male and female mold is shown symbolically here, whereby in principle a female holder 38 and a male holder 39 are present, which are correspondingly to be received in the two
- Clamp arms are designed, and being the actual
- Matrix and male parts can be fastened in these holder parts 38 and 39.
- the described and shown Embodiments do not conclusively show, but only to some extent the enormous range of possibilities of differently designed scissor plates.
- the tools 10 will always be standardized so that they always fit the corresponding pressing devices 1 and, on the other hand, the scissor plates 20 and 21 will preferably also be standardized with regard to their receptacles in the swivel arms 11 of the tool 10. This is the only way the provider can offer a variety of application options with relatively little effort.
