Abstract

容器内部に貯蔵された液体燃料を正確に計測できるようにした、液体燃料量計測装置及びその装置を用いた液体燃料量計測方法である。第1容器(3)内の空気圧が所定圧未満の時には、加圧手段(6)によって第1管路(13)を介して第1容器(3)内へ空気を供給し、供給された空気の体積とこの空気供給による第1容器(3)内の空気圧の変化量とを検出或いは算出し、これらの空気の体積と空気圧の変化量とから第1容器(3)内の液体燃料の体積を演算し、第2容器(4)内の液体燃料が所定量未満の時には、移送手段(8)によって第2管路(12)を介して第1容器(3)から第2容器(4)へ所定量の液体燃料の移送を行い、この液体燃料の移送回数に基づいて第1容器(3)内の液体燃料の体積を演算する。第1容器(3)の形状や傾きによらず、第1容器(3)から第2容器(4)へ供給される液体燃料量を正確に計測することができる。
