Definitions
- Tanning device in particular whole-body tanning device
- the invention relates to a tanning device, in particular a whole-body tanning device, according to the preamble of claim 1.
- emitters in particular UV emitters, which are rod-shaped, are arranged in the longitudinal direction parallel to one another.
- the known standardized emitters generally have a circular cross section with a diameter of 26 or 38 mm.
- a tanning device with a lower part and an upper part and optionally at least one side part for a full-body tanning is known.
- Rod-shaped emitters and additional emitters are arranged below a transparent lying surface of the lower part and a transparent cover of the upper part and the side part or the side parts.
- the additional emitters have a much smaller diameter than the emitters and are arranged between the emitters.
- the radiator and additional radiator are designed as rod-shaped tubes with a circular cross-section. In order to achieve uniform tanning, these emitters and additional emitters with a circular cross section are arranged as close as possible to one another, which leads to a relatively high number of emitters in a tanning device and a corresponding energy requirement.
- the invention is based on the object of providing a tanning device, in particular a whole-body tanning device, which ensures uniform tanning with a relatively small number of emitters.
- An essential basic idea of the invention is to depart from the known emitters with a glass tube with a circular cross section for tanning devices and to use emitters or fluorescent lamps with an elongated round cross section and to arrange them in such a way that the main axes are approximately parallel to a lying surface or cover of the tanning device are arranged.
- a glass tube for such radiators can have an oval cross-section, an elliptical cross-section or a wide-pressed circular cross-section.
- an oval tube with a major axis length of approximately 50 mm and a minor axis length of approximately 12 mm can be used.
- Such an oval tube or a glass tube with an elliptical cross-section then has main vertices and secondary vertices, the largest possible radiation exit area being achieved when it covers the area between the two main vertices.
- a lower and an upper side and two circular-arc-shaped sections can be formed, the lower and the upper side being arranged parallel to one another.
- the ratio of the length of the main axis to the length of the secondary axis can advantageously be in the range between 1: 0.25 to 1: 0.6.
- the base caps known per se can be arranged on the end faces of rod-shaped emitters with an elongated round cross section. There is also the option of arranging adapted base caps and providing appropriate holding and contacting on the device side.
- the rod-shaped emitters are provided at the end with a circular receiving area.
- a reflective layer in the longitudinal direction on the inside or outside of the elongated round glass tube.
- a reflector device can be arranged or the emitters can be arranged in complementarily designed reflectors.
- the reflection layer or the reflector device extends from one main apex to the opposite main apex. A radiation exit surface of maximum extent is then formed.
- the elongated round glass tubes of the emitters for the tanning devices according to the invention can also be used for fluorescent lamps in rod, ring or U shape and other areas of use.
- a tanning device according to the invention in particular a whole-body tanning device with at least a lower part and an upper part and possibly one or two side parts, the emitters are arranged below a transparent lying surface or a transparent covering of the upper part and optionally the side parts such that their main axis each runs approximately parallel to the transparent lying surface or to the transparent cover.
- the main vertices of the rod-shaped emitters with an elongated, round cross-section then almost adjoin each other.
- a reflection layer or also a reflection device is expediently provided on the side of the radiators opposite the light exit surface; wherein the light exit surface is directed to the tanning room.
- emitters with an elongated round cross section and emitters with a conventional circular cross section may prove advantageous to use emitters with an elongated round cross section and emitters with a conventional circular cross section in a tanning device.
- tanning devices which are equipped with spotlights with an elongated, i.e. with an oval, elliptical or wide-pressed cross-section, consist in that a larger light exit area and an optimized beam flow is achieved with a smaller number of spotlights. It is not necessary to arrange additional radiators with a smaller diameter between two radiators with a circular cross-section. In addition, the energy expenditure is reduced.
- Fig. 3 shows a radiator with an elliptical cross section
- the tanning device 10 in FIG. 1 has a lower part 11 with a transparent lying surface 21 and radiators 22 arranged underneath, and a side part 15 with a cover 25 and radiators 22 arranged underneath.
- an upper part 13 is articulated with a cover 23 and rod-shaped radiators 22 arranged behind the cover 23.
- the upper part 13 forms a cylindrical surface with the side part 15 and delimits a tanning space 14 with the lower part 11.
- the longitudinal axes of the emitters 22 run parallel to the longitudinal axis of the whole-body tanning device 10, and the covers are for the UV radiation of the emitters 22 transparent or permeable and can also have filters for - unwanted radiation.
- the emitters 22 are oval or elliptical and are arranged in such a way that the main axes A (see FIGS. 2 to 4) run parallel to the lying surface 21 or to the covers 23 and 25.
- the main axis vertices S (see FIG. 2) of the emitters 22 almost adjoin one another and on the back a reflection layer 7 is applied, which only emerges from FIGS. 2 to 4 for alternative emitter designs. ,
- a larger radiation exit area 8 is formed per radiator 22 (see FIG. 2), and the alignment of the UV rays in the user level or in the tanning room 14 is optimized.
- fewer emitters 22 are required per device unit, and an advantageous all-round tanning is achieved with a smaller number of emitters 22 and less energy.
- FIG. 2 shows a rod-shaped or tubular radiator 22 with a glass tube 2 with an elongated round cross section in detail.
- the cross section of the glass tube 2 is oval and has a major axis A and a minor axis B.
- the radiator 22 is arranged in the tanning device 10 (FIG. 1) in such a way that the large light-emitting surface 8 is directed towards the tanning room and can be used.
- a reflection layer 7 is applied in the longitudinal direction of the rod-shaped or tubular radiator 22 between the apexes S formed by the main axis A.
- This reflection layer 7 can in principle be arranged on the inside or on the outside of the glass tube 2.
- a reflective device in the tanning device which then should be complementary to the elongated round radiator 22 or glass tube 2.
- the arrows in FIG. 2 indicate the light radiation over the entire light exit surface 8. It is obvious that the light exit surface 8 in a radiator 22 with an elongated, for example oval, cross section is larger than in a conventional radiator with a circular cross section and comparable volume.
- FIG. 3 shows a radiator 22 with an elliptical glass tube 2.
- a comparison of FIGS. 2 and 3 shows that the deviation between an oval and an elliptical cross section is relatively small.
- a reflective device 17 which is shown in sections, is arranged.
- the reflecting device 17 has complementary grooves 18 for receiving a radiator 22 with an elongated, elliptical or oval cross section.
- a high-gloss aluminum sheet for example, is suitable as the material for the reflecting device 17.
- the glass tube 2 has a cross section which can be regarded as a wide circle and has a lower side 4 and an upper side 6, which are arranged parallel to one another.
- the lower and upper side 4, 6 are connected by arcuate sections 3, 5.
- a B is approximately 2: 1 in the glass tube 2 according to FIG. 3.
- a reflection layer 7 is applied on the inside.
