  • Fig. 5 is a diagram showing the telescopic function of the extendable safety bumper according to the present invention.
  • the safety bumper is comprised of a bumper frame (1) having a shock - absorbing portion (2) and a buffering portion (3) therein, and a driver portion (5) connected to an air circulation line (4). Said bumper is combined with an underframe (6) of vehicle.
  • the bumper frame (1) has numbers of link members (11, 11') connected each other by a hinge that is only rotated to one direction in the case of collision.
  • the link member (11') defining the right and left side of the bumper is shaped as a square bar having a recess in its one side.
  • a guide groove (111) is formed in the recess that is connected to the underframe (6).
  • a telescopic sealing means (12) is formed by at least three plate-type connection structures separated with each other in an upper and lower side of the bumper frame (1).
  • said shock-absorbing portion (2) has numbers of structures divided with each other by a partition in the right side, left side and center portion of the inside of the bumper frame (1).
  • said shock-absorbing portion has a number of airbags structured as honeycomb that are hexagonal rod and made of a soft material as shown in Fig. 3 and 4.
  • a mutual communicating hole (211) is formed in the partition of said airbag, and a pressure regulating membrane (212) performing bursting function in the case of an impaction pressure over a predetermined pressure is formed on the upper side of each airbag.
  • two buffering portions (3) are formed between the shock-absorbing portions (2) as shown in Fig. 3.
  • the buffering portion (3) is a space portion separated from the shock-absorbing portion and a conventional telescopic air cylinder.
  • said air circulation line is a kind of conduit connection structure that provides an air pressure produced by the driver portion (5) to the airbag (21) and the air cylinder (31) as described hereinafter. It is preferably to provide the air circulation line with a manifold (41).
  • conduit connection structure with a first and second safety valves (411, 412) and make the conduit with a soft rubber to have a flexibility against a external stress.
