Abstract

Cette invention concerne un procédé permettant d'obtenir des particules fusiformes de carbonate de calcium selon lequel lesdites particules sont régulées de manière à avoir une longueur sur leur grand axe comprise entre 0,6 et 1,8 νm. Ce procédé consiste à: ajouter, pendant au moins 30 minutes, un sel d'acide carbonique à une solution d'hydroxyde de calcium à une température comprise entre 10 et 40 °C de manière à obtenir une suspension aqueuse contenant des noyaux de cristal de carbonate de calcium; ajouter ultérieurement une suspension épaisse d'hydroxyde de calcium à la suspension; et introduire dans cette suspension un gaz renfermant du dioxyde de carbone pour achever la réaction de carbonation. Le sel d'acide carbonique est pris dans le groupe comprenant du carbonate de sodium, du carbonate de potassium, du carbonate d'ammonium, de l'hydrogéno-carbonate de sodium, de l'hydrogéno-carbonate d'ammonium, seuls et en mélanges._____________________________
