自動車用シート 1 0に大人が座る場合は、第 1図に示すように、腹部保護パッ ド 1 1を着座部 1 2の凹部 1 3に格納し、側部保持具 1 7を背もたれ部 1 5の両側の 凹部 1 6に格納すれば、通常のシートと同様に着座することができる。 このとき、 第 2図に示すシートベルト 1 9は、ショルダーベルト 1 9 aとウェストベルト 1 9 bとに分割され、 ショルダ ^レト 1 9 aは側部保持具 1 7内に収納され、ウェス トベルト 1 9 bはその先端同士を互いに連結させ背もたれ部 1 5の下端付近に収 納されている。 また、 自動車用シート 1 0に標準的に装備されているリクライニン グ機構ゃスライ ド機構などに支障を及ぼすことはなく、自動車に装備されているシ ートベルトもそのまま着用することができる。
自動車用シート 1 0に子供を座らせる場合、第 2図及び第 3図に示すように、 腹 部保護パッ ド 1 1を着座部 1 2から起立させ、側部保持具 1 7を背もたれ部 1 5か ら突出させる。次に、左右の側部保持具 1 7から引き出したショルダーベルト 1 9 aと、互いの連結を解除して背もたれ部 1 5の下端から取り出したウェストベルト 1 9 bとを係止具 2 0で連結するとともに、ショルダーベルト 1 9 aの上端を背も たれ部 1 5に形成された係止孔 2 1に係止すれば、シートベルト 1 9が形成され、 容易に子供用シートに変更することができる。 このとき、 シー卜ベルト 1 9の中間 付近は係止具 2 0を介して腹部保護パッド 1 1に着脱可能に係止され、その上端は 背もたれ部 1 5の係止孔 2 1に着脱可能に係止されている。
第 2図の状態にある自動車用シート 1 0に着座した子供は、元のシートの着座部 1 2および背もたれ部 1 5に臀部および背中を当接させてシート本来の着座位置 に座るとともに、腹部保護パッド 1 1、側部保持具 1 7およびシートベルト 1 9で 身体が保持されるので、 優れたクッション性、 ホールド性が得られる。 また、 子供 の着座位置がシート本来の低い位置なので、走行中の揺れが少なく、万一衝突事故 などに遭遇した場合でも、子供がシートから離脱するおそれがなく、安全性も優れ ている。
背もたれ部 1 5には高さの異なる複数の係止孔 2 1が形成され、着座する子供の 体型に合わせていずれかの係止孔 2 1を選択してシートベルト 1 9の先端を係止 すれば、身体にフィットした着用を行うことができるので、子供の成長にも対応し た保持状態が確実に得られる。
2本のシートベルト 1 9はそれぞれ、着座部 1 2に着座した子供の肩部を保持す るショルダーベルト 1 9 aと、子供の腰部を保持するウェストベルト 1 9 bによつ て構成され、子供の肩部および腰部をそれぞれ個別に保持することができるので、 身体が小さく柔軟な幼少の子供でも確実に保持することができる。
腹部保護パッド 1 1は、略 T字形状の凹部 1 3に嵌入可能な略 T字形状で、 着座 部 1 2の支軸 2 2に傾動可能に軸支されているため、 その起立、 格納操作は容易で あり、 格納時に着座部 1 2に不要な段差も生じない。
また、側部保持具 1 7は、背もたれ部 1 5の両側に形成された凹部 1 6に嵌入可 能な形状で、 背もたれ部 1 5の支軸 2 3に傾動可能に軸支されているため、その起 立、 格納操作は容易であり、 格納時に背もたれ部 1 5に不要な段差も生じない。 このように、 腹部保護パッ ド 1 1、 ショルダ一ベルト 1 9 a、 ウェストベルト 1 9 bおよび側部保持具 1 7をそれぞれ所定の位置に格納すると、通常のシートに復 元することができ、着座部 1 2および背もたれ部 1 5は、不要な段差のない状態と なるので、 シート本来のクッション性、 ホールド性を確保することができる。 なお、 本実施形態では腹部保護パッ ド 1 1の起立、格納あるいは側部保持具 1 7の突出、 格納などの各動作は手動で行う方式であるが、 これに限定するものではなく、 自動 車の電源や動力を利用した電動式あるいは油圧式とすることもできる。
次に、 第 4図〜第 8図を参照して、 本発明の第 2実施形態について説明する。 本 実施形態の自動車用シート 3 0は、着座部 3 1に格納された起立可能な腹部保護パ ッド 3 2と、 背もたれ部 3 3の両側に格納された突出可能な側部保持具 3 5と、 側 部保持具 3 5の格納用の凹部 3 6に格納され背もたれ部 3 3から引き出して腹部 保護パッド 3 2および背もたれ部 3 3に着脱可能なシートベルト 3 7などを備 ている。
自動車用シート 3 0に大人が座る場合は、第 4図に示すように、腹部保護パッ ド 3 2は着座部 3 1に形成された凹部 3 9に嵌合状態に格納され、側部保持具 3 5お よびシートベルト 3 7は背もたれ部 3 3の両側に形成された凹部 3 6に格納され ているので、 通常のシートとして使用することができる。
自動車用シート 3 0に子供が座る場合、 第 5図及び第 6図 （a ) に示すように、 腹部保護パッ ド 3 2を着座部 3 1から起立させ、側部保持具 3 5を背もたれ部 3 3 から突出させ、シートベルト 3 7を引き出してその中間付近を腹部保護パッド 3 2 の係止具 4 0に係止し、その先端を背もたれ部 3 3に形成された係止孔 4 1に係止 するだけで容易に子供用シートに変更することができ、 また、逆の操作をすれば元 のシートに容易に復元できる。
自動車用シート 3 0を子供用シートとして使用するとき、着座した子供は元のシ —トの着座部 3 1および背もたれ部 3 3に臀部および背中を当接させてシート: φ 来の着座位置に座るとともに、腹部保護パッ ド 3 2、側部保持具 3 5およびシート ベルト 3 7で身体が保持されるので、優れたクッション性、 ホールド性および安全 性を得ることができる。
第 6図及び第 7図に示すように、シートベルト 3 7の下端は俱 IJ部保持具 3 5に固 定され、側部保持具 3 5は背もたれ部 3 3に内蔵された取り付け板 4 2に固定され ている。取り付け板 4 2は、その両側に形成された複数の切欠孔 4 5のうちのいず れかを、前止めプレート 4 3に立設されたガイ ドビン 4 4に係合させることによつ て固定されている。
したがって、 第 6図 （b ) に示すように、 側部保持具 3 5を背もたれ部 3 3に押 し込んだ状態にすれば、切欠孔 4 5がガイ ドビン 4 4から外れ、 取り付け板 4 2と ともに側部保持具 3 5およびシートベルト 3 7の下端は上下方向に移動可能とな る。切欠孔 4 5の位置をガイ ドビン 4 4のいずれかに合わせ、側部保持具 3 5を前 方に引き出せば、 第 6図 （a ) に示すように、 切欠孔 4 5がガイ ドビン 4 4に係合 して側部保持具 3 5およびシートベルト 3 7下端の保持高さが定まる。また、 シー トベルト 3 7の先端は、背もたれ部 3 3に形成された複数の係止孔 4 1のうちのい ずれかに係止することにより、 係止高さを選択することができる。
したがって、 第 8図に示すように、小学低学年程度の子供 4 6が座る場合は同図 ( a ) の状態、 0〜1歳程度の子供 4 7が座る場合は同図 （b ) の状態、 2〜3歳 程度の子供 4 8が座る場合は同図 （c ) の状態、 4〜5歳程度の子供 4 9が座る場 合は同図 （d ) の状態とすることが可能であり、 各年齢の子供の体型に適した状態 にセッ トすることができる。 なお、 第 8図 （a ) に示すように、 身体が比較的大き な子供が座る場合、腹部保護パッ ド 3 2を着座部 3 1に格納し、 2本のシートべノレ ト 3 7のみをセッ トした状態で使用することも可能である。
このように、側部保持具 3 5およびシートベルト 3 7が背もたれ部 3 3の高さ方 向に移動可能であり、着座部 3 1に座る子供の体型に合わせてシートベルト 3 7、 側部保持具 3 5を確実にセッ トすることができるので、ホールド性が優れており、 安全性も高い。
2本のシートベルト 3 7は、子供の肩部を保持するショルダーベルト 3 7 aと、 子供の腰部を保持するウェストベルト 3 7 bとで構成され、子供の肩部および腰部 をそれぞれ個別に保持することができるので、身体が小さく柔軟な幼少の子供でも 確実に保持することができる。 その他の機能、 効果については、 第 1実施形態の自 動車用シート 1 0と同様である。
次に、第 9図〜第 1 1図を参照して、本発明の第 3.実施形態について説明する。 本実施形態の自動車用シート 5 0は、着座部 5 1に格納された起立可能な腹部保護 パッ ド 5 2と、背もたれ部 5 3の両側に格納された突出可能な上側部保持具 5 4お よび下側部保持具 5 5と、腹部保護パッ ド 5 2および背もたれ部 5 3に形成された 係止孔 5 6に着脱可能なシートベルト 5 7などを備えている。
自動車用シート 5 0に大人が座る場合は、第 9図に示すように、腹部保護パッ ド 5 2は着座部 5 1に形成された凹部 5 8に嵌合状態に格納され、上側部保持具 5 4 および下側部保持具 5 5は背もたれ部 5 3の両側に形成された凹部 5 9に格納さ れているので、通常の自動車用シートとして使用することができる。 このときシー トベルト 5 7はショルダーベルト 5 7 aとウェストベルト 5 7 bとに分割して、シ ョルダ一ベルト 5 7 aは背もたれ部 5 3に形成された凹部 6 1 に収納され、ウェス トベルト 5 7 bは係止具 6 0の先端同士を互いに連結させ背もたれ部 5 3の下端 に収納されている。 なお、通常の自動車用シートとして使用するとき、凹部 6 1 は 開閉部材 6 2によって覆われている。
自動車用シート 5 0に子供が座る場合、 第 1 0図及び第 1 1図に示すように、 腹 部保護パッ ド 5 2を着座部 5 1から起立させ、上側部保持具 5 4および下側部保持 具 5 5を背もたれ部 5 3から突出させる。 次に、 凹部 6 1から取り出したショノレダ 一^？ルト 5 7 aと、互いの連結を解除して背もたれ部 5 3の下端から取り出したゥ ェス トベルト 5 7 bとを係止具 6 0で連結するとともに、係止具 6 0を腹部保護ノヽ。 ッド 5 2の前方に係止し、ショルダ一^？ルト 5 7 aの上端を背もたれ部 5 3に形成 された係止孔 5 6に係止するとシートベルト 5 7が形成される。 このような一連の 操作を行うことによって子供用シートに容易に変更することができ、 また、 これと 逆の操作をすることによって通常のシートに容易に復元することができる。
子供用シート状態とした自動車用シート 5 0に着座した子供は、元のシ一トの着 座部 5 1および背もたれ部 5 3に、臀部および背中を当接させてシート本来の着座 位置に座るとともに、 腹部保護パッ ド 5 2、 上側部保持具 5 4、 下側部保持具 5 5 およびシートベルト 5 7で身体が保持されるので、優れたクッション性、ホールド 性および安全性を得ることができる。
上側部保持具 5 4および下側部保持具 5 5がそれぞれ独立して傾動可能で、任意 の角度で固定できるため、着座した子供の腰部および頭部の大きさに合致した、 的 確な保持状態を得ることができる。 その他の機能、 効果については、 第 1 , 2実施 形態の自動車用シート 1 0 , 3 0と同様である。
産業上の利用可能性
本発明の自動車用シートは通常の乗用車に適したシートであるが、大型のバスや トラックにも適用することができ、また船舶や航空機のシートにも応用することが できる。

Claims

請 求 の 範 囲
1 .子供用シートへの変更および通常シートへの復元が可能な自動車用シートで、あ つて、着座部に格納可能でかつ着座部から起立可能な腹部保護パッ ドと、背もたれ 部に格納可能でかつ背もたれ部から突出可能な側部保持具と、前記背もたれ部また は前記側部保持具に格納され前記背もたれ部または前記側部保持具から引き出し て前記腹部保護パッドおよび前記背もたれ部に着脱可能なシートベルトとを備 たことを特徴とする自動車用シート。
2.前記シートベルトまたは前記側部保持具もしくはその両方の高さ方向位置が調 節可能である請求の範囲第 1項記載の自動車用シート。
3. 前記シートベルトが、前記着座部に着座した子供の肩部を保持するショルダー ベルトと、前記子供の腰部を保持するウェストベルトとで構成された請求の範囲第 1項または第 2項記載の自動車用シート。
4. 前記腹部保護パッドカ 前記着座部に形成された略 T字状凹部に嵌入可能な形 状であって前記着座部に傾動可能に軸支された請求の範囲第 1項〜第 3項のいず れかに記載の自動車用シート。
5. 前記側部保持具が、前記背もたれ部の両側に形成された凹部に嵌入可能な形状 であって前記背もたれ部に傾動可能または出没可能に軸支された請求の範囲第 1 項〜第 4項のいずれかに記載の自動車用シ一ト。
