Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'un composant de paliers à éléments roulants par abrasion à particules dures afin d'améliorer la topographie superficielle du composant. L'abrasion à particules dures consiste à prendre le composant de roulement et à l'immerger dans un récipient contenant des particules dures, de préférence de l'alumine, puis à agiter le composant et/ou les particules dures afin de produire un mouvement relatif. Ce traitement dure, de préférence, de 10 minutes à 1 heure. Pour obtenir ce mouvement relatif on fait tourner le composant dans un premier sens et le récipient en sens inverse. Ce procédé permet l'amélioration de la tolérance du fini superficiel passant d'environ 0.13 νm à environ 0.07 νm. La résistance à la contrainte en compression de la surface du composant peut être également améliorée, et passer, en principe, de 200 MPa à 500 MPa. La résistance à la fatigue du contact de roulement du composant est également être améliorée.
