- the wheelset and the frame are connected through a cross arm catch, standing at a distance from the cantilevers of the frame, equal to the static contraction of the axle spring suspension.

- a sufficiently elastic axle-box spring suspension as we mentioned hereinabove, with static contraction under load equal at least to the engagement height of the fixing teeth.

- a crossing consisting of a strap, located in front of the axle's head, whose ends enter freely cutouts, made in bulges on both sides of the axle box, is fixed to the head of the axle.
- the position of the clearance - on the left or right side of the strap - is set by a multiplier, constructed basically of a slide, a leading box, and a wedge, fixed to the lower surface of the plank, that can be positioned to the left or right of the strap, this determining the direction in which the wheel is shifted. Shifting of the set of slide and wedge is carried out in the transformation device, where the part of the strap that is curved downwards is lead sideways from the bogey in a moulding.
- the vertical part of the crossing also has a distance element, determining the downwards movement of the wheels, axle, and sleeves with respect the axle boxes, as well as the movement with respect to the restrictors at the side plate of the bogey.
- a lock spring is foreseen, which shall push aside the frame and the axle box. Normally, when the wheelset is moving, this sprang shall remain contracted. It is possible in cases of hard spring suspension that the engagement of teeth is carried out by at least one spring, which free shall be longer than the rest of the springs in the suspension /spring/ sets.
- the wheelset hereinabove described has a universal application with respect to the different track gauges , as well as to the various types of bogeys, with which it shall be used.

- the multiplier (23) consists of a longitudinally moving strap, enclosed in a leading box (25), located over the bulges (17) of the axle box (9).
- the crossing (13) has also got a vertical part (18), which is connected through bolts (19) to a distance element (20), determining the downwards shift (N3) of the wheels (2), axle (3) and sleeves (4) with respect to the axle boxes (9), as well as the shift (N2) with respect to a restrictor (21), installed on the bogey side (29).
- the sum of the preliminary contractions of the lock spring (34) and the axle box spring suspension (32) should be bigger than the clearance (N3) between the distance element (20) and the upper part of the hood (35) of the axle (9) in order that the teeth (8 and 11) and the sleeves (6) remain engaged even at full unloading of the wheels (2).
- the number of track gauges on which this model construction can be used is 4 and 4 more are obtained by engaging only one of the teeth, but with the help of the multiplier there are conditions for 8 more track gauges , so that the construction in question can serve 16 track gauges , i.e. 9 more than it is necessary.
- the multiple gauges wheelset can be used for all known types of bogies, or be adjusted to specific means of transportation and track gauges , i.e. it can be produced for the purpose to serve a great number of track gauges , as well as only a couple of track gauges .
- the multiple gauges wheelset operates in the following manner: Example 1.
- the part of the slide (24), bent downwards, is led along a gutter (31), removing in the middle section the slide (24) sideways so that the wedge (26) which has been to the right of the strap (14) /drawing 1/ shall move to the left thereof /drawing 31.
- the wheels (2) are embraced by leads (37) that direct them sideways in their new position, relevant to the new gauge. Then the teeth (8 and 11) are located over a different couple of track gauges (6). After this the carriage enters the last section of the transformation device (30) in which the rails are inclined upwards.
