(Fig. 5, 6) can be seen, that the lifting right shank 10 has the same thickness along its whole length, excepting the medium portion of taper 16., which has the biggest thickness, being exposed to maximum load during operation, or in the moment of impact at the resting point of the metallic doup heddle 1 of the leno heddle 18.
  • Each of lifting shanks 10 11 of lifting heddle 9 is formed as one plastic part, made of polyoxymethylene , using e.g. the injection moulding technology.
  • the basic functional parts namely the metallic doup heddle 1 and lifting shanks 10., 11 of the lifting heddle 9 (Fig. 7), form the complete arrangement of leno heddle 18.
  • the upper and lower end hang loops 12., 13 are on their ends equipped by a hang 19, formed into a rounded enlarged C-shaped termination (Fig. 8, 9, 10, 11).
  • Each taper 16 (Fig. 12, 13) of shanks 10., 11 is equipped with the tapered edge 20 for guiding of one of warp threads in the correct direction, and with a half-cirular guiding slot 21 for guiding in the second warp thread.
  • the lower portion of guiding slot 21 forms the stop 22, representing the bearing surface for the eye 5, with the bridge 4 of metallic doup heddle 1.
  • the half-circle guiding slot 21 is placed approximately in the centre of the contact portion 23 of the taper 16, and has half-circle shape, so that the guiding slots 21 form a circular orifice, when both contact portions 23 . of lifting shanks 10., 11 enter into mutual contact.

  • the leno heddle 18 . which illustrates Fig.14, corresponds to above described leno heddle embodiment, including its function, with the difference, that the lifting heddle 9 is on both lifting shanks 10./U (Fig- 15,16) equipped with end hang loops 12., 11 formed in such thickness, which ranges approximately from one to three times , when compared with the arms 14,15 of lifting shanks 10., 11. Further difference is, that each taper 16 (Fig. 17, 18) of the lifting shanks 10, 11 is fitted with droplet-shaped guiding slot 24_, with the lower gradual portion for leading in the second warp thread. The lower part of the droplet-shaped guiding slot 24 forms the stop 22, designed as the bearing surface for the eye 5.
  • the droplet-shaped guiding slot 24 is situated approximately in the medium portion of the contact portion 23 of the taper 16., and features a half-circular shape with the lower gradual portion.
  • the droplet-shaped guiding slots 24. which are arranged mutually reflected so, that at the contact of both contact portions 23. of the lifting shanks 10, 11, form the prevailed circular orifice with the lower gradual portion.

  • This solution of the leno heddle 18 is suitable for weaving textured fibres.
