Definitions
- the invention relates to a fuel tank with a fuel delivery device arranged therein and to a method for its production according to the category of claim 8.
- Such a fuel tank is known from DE 42 19 516 AI.
- the fuel tank made of plastic is produced by known plastic processing methods and has an opening through which the fuel delivery device is then inserted into it. This opening must be made relatively large to enable the fuel delivery device to be inserted.
- the hydraulic and / or electrical connecting lines of the fuel delivery device are also routed through the opening to the outside of the fuel tank. Then the opening must be sealed to prevent fuel from escaping to prevent even in the vaporized state, for which expensive sealing measures are required because of the size of the opening and the size of the closure element necessary to cover it.
- the fuel delivery device must also be connected to this in the fuel tank for their fixing, for which purpose fasteners are required, which may be difficult to access in the fuel tank, so that the subsequent installation of the
- Fuel delivery device in the fuel tank requires a lot of effort in production and assembly.
- the fuel tank according to the invention with the features according to claim 1 has the advantage that the fuel delivery device is introduced into this without additional manufacturing and assembly costs. Complicated fasteners for retrofitting the fuel delivery device can thus be omitted.
- the opening of the fuel tank can be made relatively small, since only the hydraulic and / or electrical connecting lines of the fuel delivery device are guided through them to the outside, but it is not necessary to insert the fuel delivery device through them.
- the fuel tank can be manufactured in a simple manner by the manufacturing process according to claim 2. Due to the design according to claim 3, the fixation of the fuel delivery device is also achieved with the manufacture of the fuel tank. Through the Training according to claim 7 enables a simple and effective sealing of the opening.
- FIG. 1 shows a fuel tank with a fuel delivery device arranged therein

- the fuel delivery device 12 can have a filter 22 through which the fuel delivered by the fuel delivery unit 14 flows before it reaches the internal combustion engine.
- the fuel delivery device 12 may include a pressure regulator 24, which is arranged downstream of the pressure side of the fuel delivery unit 14 and by which the pressure of the fuel delivered to the internal combustion engine is regulated.
- the pressure regulator 24 has a return 25 through which excess fuel is returned to the fuel tank 10.
- the fuel delivery device 12 may include a suction jet pump 26, which is connected to the return 25 of the pressure regulator 24 or a separate return line led into the fuel tank 10 by the internal combustion engine. Through the suction jet pump 26, in addition to the fuel passed through the return 25, fuel is also conveyed from the fuel tank 10 into the storage tank 20 by its flow effect via a nozzle, so that there is a sufficient fuel supply in the fuel tank from which the fuel delivery unit 14 can suck.
- the fuel delivery device 12 can also include a fill level sensor 28, by means of which the fill level of the fuel in the fuel tank 10 is detected.

- the fuel delivery device 12 can also be surrounded by a protective sleeve 55 when inserted into the hose 52.
- a second manufacturing step according to FIG. 3 the hose 52 with the one arranged therein
- Fuel delivery device 12 is introduced into a blow molding tool 56 and the blow molding tool 56 is closed.
- the blow molding tool 56 has a mold recess 57 which corresponds to the shape which the finished fuel tank 10 is intended to have.
- the hose 52 the plastic material of which is in the plastically deformable state, is inflated by blowing air through the blowing mandrel 54, so that the hose 52 rests against the mold recess of the blow molding tool 56.
- the blow mandrel 54 is then pulled out of the blow molding tool 56 and the opening is closed, through which the blow mandrel 54 was inserted.
