Definitions
- the invention relates to a composite material for sound and heat insulation consisting of a consolidated fiber fabric and a film.
- Known materials for sound and heat insulation consist essentially of mineral wool and a film.
- fine dust particles are created that are suspected of being carcinogenic. Therefore, the "DFG Senate Commission for Testing Health-Hazardous Working Materials 11 (MAK Commission) has defined MAK values (maximum workplace concentration) for such hazardous substances, which the employer must observe.
- This object is achieved by a composite material with a solidified fiber fabric and an associated one Foil, wherein the fiber fabric is a layer made of nonwoven fabric, which is connected to the surface of the film.
- the dust that arises during processing of the composite material according to the invention consists of non-fibrillating material. Therefore, the largest part of the dust is not easy to breathe due to its dimensions.
- the nonwoven fibers and thus the dust produced preferably consist of organic materials which are not harmful to health and which can be broken down at least to a certain extent in the human body.
- the fibers of the nonwoven fabric layer of the composite material according to the invention advantageously consist of polyester, polyacrylic or oxidized polyacrylonitrile or comparable organic materials.
- a nonwoven fabric made from these fiber materials has favorable fire behavior, i.e. low flammability and good thermal insulation.
- a fleece made of such fibers has a low heat conduction since the free convection of air is prevented.
- the covering of the nonwoven with the dense film prevents forced convection due to the pump effect or wind.
- the nonwoven layer is connected to the surface of the film, and the film can be applied to one or both sides of the nonwoven layer.
- the film also protects the fleece against moisture and dirt.
- the nonwoven layer has polyester fibers whose fiber titer is between 0.85 and 30 dtex, preferably 0.85-6.7 dtex, and whose fiber length is between 30 and 90 mm, preferably 38 and 60 mm.
- the crimping determines the bulk volume and a larger bulk volume results in a better insulation effect.
- about 98 to 99.5% of the volume of the nonwoven consists of voids formed between the fibers.
- binder fibers are added to the polyester fibers, the nonwoven being consolidated by thermofusion.
- the flank composite fibers are particularly advantageous since they curl more strongly when heated during the thermofusion.
- the polyester fibers can be chemically treated, for example with antimony trioxide.
- the nonwoven layer is produced by carding and subsequent paneling or by an air laying process.
- the thickness of the nonwoven fabric layer can vary between 1 and 18 cm, preferably 2 and 10 cm.
- the density of the nonwoven layer is in the range from 10 to 140 kg / m 3 , preferably 15 to 80 kg / m 3 .
- a portion of partially oxidized polyacrylonitrile fibers is added to the mixture of polyester and binder fibers described above.
- the proportion is about 10 to 50%.
- the fiber titer of the polyacrylonitrile fiber is preferably between 0.6 and 1.7 dtex. Since the crimp of polyacrylonitrile fibers is less than the crimp of polyester fibers, a share of over 50% not desirable, since otherwise the volume of construction would be too small.
- the internal strength of the nonwoven layer can be increased by the fibers of the nonwoven layer being oriented in the thickness direction of the layer. This alignment of the fibers can be accomplished by needling the material, although the thickness of the nonwoven layer should remain as constant as possible.
- the insulation properties of the composite material are further improved if the film consists of a metal such as aluminum.
- the film can also consist of polyurethane, polyamide or Kapton or of similar materials. When choosing the materials for the film, care must be taken that the fire properties are not impaired.
