Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé générant des signaux de commande d'adressage actif destinés à un affichage à cristaux liquides grâce à une mise en oeuvre efficace des fonctions de Walsh. Par la mise en oeuvre d'une technique visant à déterminer les transformations rapides de Walsh, on obtient l'adressage actif en temps réel de signaux de commande en déterminant des adresses de mémoire à accès sélectif (RAM) pour envoyer des parties présélectionnées de données d'images numériques (PPDIDs) à une pluralité de mémoires RAM (106, 108, 110), et en commandant simultanément l'entrée/sortie parallèle de données vers/à partir des mémoires RAM et un circuit de la transformée rapide de WALSH (FWTC 102) de sorte que les transformées rapides de Walsh (FWTs) soient effectuées sur des données d'images numériques d'entrée. Par exemple, des signaux de commande à adressage actif pour une moitié de l'affichage à cristaux liquides en colonne de dimension 240 par 640 peuvent être déterminés en temps réel. Par conséquent, deux des dispositifs de la présente invention peuvent être utilisés pour produire un système d'adressage actif en temps réel s'appliquant à un affichage à cristaux liquides caractéristique à réseau graphique visuel (VGA).
