Definitions
- the invention relates to a cleaning device with a suction turbine for generating a suction air stream, with an electric motor driving it and forming a structural unit with it, with a housing accommodating the turbine and with a holder which fixes the turbine and the electric motor on the cleaning device in a soundproof manner .
- Such a construction is known for example from DE-PS 703 638.
- the object of the invention is to design a generic cleaning device in such a way that optimum sound insulation can be achieved when the device is in operation.
- This object is achieved according to the invention in a cleaning device of the type described at the outset in that the holder is a sleeve made of a thermoset elastomer with a shore hardness between 30 and 60, in that it surrounds the turbine housing and on the outer wall of the housing at least in some areas that the turbine is arranged with the axis of rotation of the turbine running in the vertical direction in the cleaning device and that the sleeve encompasses the unit comprising the turbine and motor and carries it freely suspended on the cleaning device.
- a sleeve designed in this way which can for example consist of rubber, leads to a multiple effect with regard to the avoidance of disturbing noises.
- the unit consisting of engine and turbine is suspended from the cleaning device in such a way that there are no sound bridges to the device, the connection is only established via the sleeve made of the duroplastic elastomer material, via which sound transmission practically does not take place.
- the turbine housing has a circular cylinder has a vertical vertical outer wall against which the cuff is in full contact.
- Such a rotationally symmetrical arrangement is also advantageous for reasons of weight transfer in the cleaning device.
- the sleeve can have an inwardly projecting step on which the turbine housing rests.
- the turbine housing and the sleeve have interlocking projections or recesses which prevent rotation of the turbine housing relative to the sleeve about a vertical axis.
- the cuff can have an outwardly projecting supporting flange on the upper edge, by means of which the cuff is fixed to the cleaning device. It is advantageous if a downwardly open annular groove is arranged in the support flange, into which an upwardly projecting housing edge can engage. This ensures a completely defined position of the cuff in the cleaning device.
- the sleeve is made of a relatively flexible material, it is favorable to stabilize it in that the inwardly projecting step and / or the support flange and / or the outer wall of the sleeve carry radially extending, vertical reinforcing ribs.
- the supporting flange can also engage in positive or negative engagements in projections or recesses on the cleaning device. have protrusions that prevent the sleeve from rotating relative to the cleaning device about a vertical axis. This rotationally fixed fixing of the sleeve makes it possible to introduce the rotational forces transmitted from the turbine motor assembly to the sleeve into the cleaning device.
- the inner diameter of the sleeve immediately above the turbine housing is smaller than the outer diameter.
- the turbine housing is also fixed in the sleeve in the axial direction. For assembly, the turbine housing can be pushed into the sleeve while being elastically expanded and pushed past the narrower inner diameter part.
- a further sound insulation can be achieved in that the lower end of the sleeve lies at least in areas over the outer wall of a housing that accommodates the electric motor. In this way, noises are also absorbed, which can be generated and emitted by the electric motor and its housing.
- FIG. 1 a longitudinal sectional view through a sleeve with a suspended turbine-motor unit
- FIG. 2 a view similar to FIG. 1 without the turbine motor unit
- FIG. 3 a top view of the cuff of FIG. 2.
- a suction air flow is generated via a turbine, which entrains dirt particles to be removed and transports them into a dirt collecting container in which the dirt particles are separated from the air flow, for example by a filter.
- the turbine then ejects the air stream into the surroundings in a cleaned manner.
- the turbine unit shown in the drawing comprises a turbine, also not shown in the drawing, which is arranged in a cylindrical housing 1.
- This housing 1 is coaxially connected to a second circular cylindrical housing 2 with a smaller outside diameter, in which there is also an electric motor (not shown).
- This electric motor optionally drives the turbine in the housing 1 via a gear so that a suction air stream is sucked through the turbine, for example from the bottom 3 of the housing 1 through it to the top 4 thereof.
- the two housings 1 and 2 and the parts arranged therein, namely the turbine and the electric motor, form a structural unit.
- the housings 1 and 2 are preferably made of metal.
- the housing 1 of the turbine which has the larger outer diameter, is surrounded by a sleeve 5, which lies over the entire surface of the cylindrical outer wall 6 of the housing 1 and projects above this housing 1 at the top.
- the inner diameter of the sleeve 5 is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the housing 1, so that an annular shoulder 9 is formed in the sleeve 5 on the upper edge 8 of the housing 1, which shoulder 1 in the vertical direction upwards specifies.
- the housing 1 rests on a step 10 projecting inwards into the interior of the sleeve 5, which thereby defines the housing 1 in a vertical direction downwards.
- the step 10 is formed by two projections protruding into the interior of the cuff, each extending over an angle of approximately 160 °, which have reinforcing ribs 11 or 12 running radially on the top and running in the circumferential direction.
- the underside 3 of the housing 1 rests on the top of these reinforcing ribs 11 and 12, projections (not shown) on the underside 3 of the housing 1 protrude into recesses 13 on the top of the steps 10 and thereby secure the housing 1 against rotation relative to the sleeve 5 about a vertical axis.
- reinforcing ribs 12 which run in the circumferential direction, lie with their entire surface on the outer wall 14 of the housing 2, which receives the electric motor. These reinforcing ribs 12 extend only over the upper part of the housing 2 (FIG. 1).
- a radially outwardly projecting flange 15 is formed on the outside of the collar 5 in the region 7 above, and has a circumferential annular groove 16 which is open at the bottom on its underside. In this annular groove, a ring wall of the cleaning device standing vertically upward can engage, which is not shown in the drawing, so that in this way the sleeve 5 and the structural unit comprising the turbine and the electric motor held in it are suspended on the cleaning device .
- Interruptions 17 are provided in the flange 15 (FIG. 3), into which projections on the cleaning device (not shown in the drawing) can also engage, which in this way secure the sleeve 5 against rotation about a vertical axis relative to the cleaning device chern.
- the flange 15 also has radial and circumferential reinforcing ribs 18 or 19, reinforcing ribs 20 projecting radially outward are also arranged on the outside of the sleeve 5.
- the cuff 5 consists of a thermoset elastomer material, for example rubber, with a shore hardness between 30 and 60. It has been found that this material is suitable, on the one hand, for carrying the structural unit from the housings 1 and 2 in a cleaning device in a permanently hanging manner, the torques occurring during operation being transmitted to the cleaning device can be, while on the other hand, an optimal sound insulation and noise avoidance is possible through material of this type.
