Definitions
- the invention relates to an anti-lock, hydraulic brake system with a master cylinder and at least one wheel brake, which connects to the master cylinder via a brake line, a separating valve for blocking the master cylinder with respect to the pressure medium circuit, a pressure medium collector, which acts on the wheel brake connects, an outlet valve in the connection of the wheel brake / pressure medium collector, and a pump which connects to the pressure medium collector with its suction side.
- telbar in the wheel brake.
- the pressure control is therefore only with one valve. Although this causes simple control, at the same time the control options are restricted. In particular, no pressure maintenance phase can be implemented. It is known to provide a further valve (a so-called inlet valve) in the connection between the pump and the wheel brake with which the wheel brake can be cut off from a pressure medium supply. However, it has been shown that high switching noises are associated with the actuation of this inlet valve. The increased control comfort is purchased with the disadvantage that the system has increased noise emissions.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of creating an anti-lock hydraulic brake system which operates with little noise and has a high level of control convenience.
- a pressure maintenance phase should be able to be realized.
- the object is achieved in that a valve is provided in the connection between the pressure medium collector and the pump. This valve takes over the task of the inlet valve, which is otherwise usually provided between the pump and the wheel brake. A high level of control comfort can therefore be achieved. Since the valve is not in the high-pressure area of the system, the switching noise is low.
- a low-pressure accumulator can be provided as the pressure medium collector, but it would also be conceivable to use a pressure medium storage container which is open to the atmosphere and is arranged in an open control loop.
- a switchable throttle valve can be assigned to the outlet valve, with which an additional throttle in the connection when a defined pressure in the wheel brake is reached is switched on between the wheel brake and the pressure medium collector.
- the brake system consists of a master cylinder 1, to which a wheel brake 4 connects via a brake line 3.
- a separating valve 2 which has two switching positions, is inserted into the brake line 3. In the basic position there is a free passage of pressure medium, while in the switching position a check valve is active, which opens towards the main brake cylinder.
- the wheel brake 4 is connected to a low-pressure accumulator 10 via a return line 5.
- An outlet valve 8 is inserted into the return line 5 and is actuated electromagnetically and blocks the return line 5 in its basic position. In the switch position, the return line 5 is released.
- the low-pressure accumulator has a spring-loaded piston 11, which is connected to the isolating valve 2 via a mechanical device 12. As long as the low pressure accumulator 10 is not filled, the isolating valve is held in its basic position. When the outlet valve 8 is opened and the low-pressure accumulator 10 is filled, the isolating valve 2 is released so that it is brought into its switching position.
- a pump 7 is connected to the low-pressure accumulator 10 via a suction line 6 and its pressure side connects to the brake line 3 between the wheel brake 4 and the isolating valve 2.
- the suction line 6 there is a switching valve 9 which is actuated electromagnetically and which keeps the suction line open in its basic position. In the switching position, the suction line 6 is blocked.
- a throttle valve 13 can be provided in the return line 5. This valve is actuated by the pressure in the wheel brake. As soon as a certain pressure is reached in the wheel brake, the valve switches from an open to a throttle position.
- the brake system works as follows:
- the switching valve 9 is switched into its blocking position, so that the pump 7, which is preferably a non-self-priming pump, cannot deliver from the low-pressure accumulator.
- the switching valve 9 is opened so that the pump 7 sucks pressure medium and promotes back into the wheel brake 4.
- exhaust valve 8 and switching valve 9 are blocked, the pressure in the wheel brake is maintained.
- a pressure build-up and pressure reduction phase as well as a pressure maintenance phase can therefore be implemented.
- the control comfort is great. Since the switching valve 9, which takes over the function of an inlet valve, is arranged on the suction side of the pump 7, there are no high pressure surges when the switching valve closes, so that the noise level is low.
- the throttle valve ensures that there is a uniform pressure reduction per unit of time, regardless of the level of the wheel brake pressure.
Abstract
