  • the known drive described has disadvantages, especially when the door is in the closed position.
  • a high driving force is required to open the door when the swing / guide lever is extended and aligned with the sash.
  • This high force must also be applied in the area of the end position when closing. This contradicts the security requirements, according to which only a low closing force is permitted.
  • voluminous rubber profiles must be provided on the closing edge of the door leaf in order to limit the clamping force for a human body part clamped in the door.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a drive for the wing of a sliding / pivoting door or for a folding door which does not have the disadvantages mentioned. This is achieved in a drive of the type mentioned at the outset in that the driver is rotatably arranged on the barrel and coupled to the door leaf in such a way that a rotational movement of the driver can be transmitted to the door leaf due to the movement of the drive means (5).
  • the rotatable driver which transmits its rotary movement to the door leaf due to the drive torque, ensures that essentially only one torque acts on the door leaf in the opening or closing area. In this area of movement, the door leaf is therefore driven predominantly in a rotating manner and not in a pushing manner, which is much cheaper due to the lever ratios and can be carried out with little driving force. This is particularly preferred

  • the connection between the carriage 1 and the drive means 5, usually a chain or a toothed belt, possibly also a threaded rod, is made by a driver 15 for the carriage, which is held movably on the drive means, and which on the carriage 1 is rotatably attached (symbolized by the arrow B).
  • the driver 15 goes in this

  • the driving force is therefore initially not used for a sliding movement or for a compressive force on the extended swivel / guide lever, but rather as a moment for swiveling the door. Since the possible pivoting movement is limited by the pivoting / guide lever, after the initial pure rotational movement of the driver there is resistance to further rotation or the further rotation takes place with simultaneous displacement of the carriage 1 in the direction of arrow A.

  • the coupling between the rotatable driver 15 and the toothed pulley 11 or the door leaf 2 takes place via a further toothed belt 13 which runs on a second toothed ring of the driver 15 and on the toothed pulley 11.
  • This is preferably done Translation not 1: 1, but, as shown, such that the driver 15 is reduced to the door leaf.
  • An angle of rotation alpha of the door leaf therefore results at an angle of rotation of n.alpha of the driver.
  • FIG. 2 The function of this arrangement is basically the same as that explained in FIG. 2.
  • the rotatable driver 15 experiences a torque when driving the toothed belt 5, in which it engages in a form-fitting manner. This moment is transmitted to the door leaf 2, reinforced by the translation.
  • FIGS. 4 a to 4 c show three positions of the door, the proportions of the moment M for rotating the door and the force S for pushing the door being indicated.
  • the driver 15 is only schematically indicated as a wheel 15 in these figures. This construction gives all the advantages of the basic principle, whereby a pivoting angle of the door of 90 degrees is possible.
  • FIGS. 5 a to 5 c show the application of the drive to a folding door, the same reference numbers denoting the same components as above. Instead of the swivel guide lever, a further door leaf 4 'occurs in the folding door, which is connected to the leaf 2, on which the drive acts.
