Abstract

Procédé et appareil de comparaison des états d'effort/contrainte de torsion d'un élément de transmission de puissance d'un moteur à combustion interne de manière à détecter un état anormal de combustion, y compris les défauts d'allumage, le cognement ou les ratés. Des étapes de traitements statistiques peuvent être utilisées pour détecter un état de combustion anormal et consistent à calculer une déviation moyenne et standard pour un ensemble de signaux relatifs aux efforts de tension induits dans l'élément de transmission de puissance, à calculer une différence entre un signal ultérieur et la moyenne, à calculer un rapport entre la différence et la déviation ou écart standard, et à comparer le rapport à une valeur seuil. Le rapport ainsi obtenu d'un cylindre donné peut ensuite être comparé à un ou plusieurs autres rapports obtenus d'autres cylindres. En d'autres termes, les techniques d'autocorrélation et /ou de corrélation croisée peuvent être utilisées. Un détecteur de magnétostriction peut de préférence être utilisé pour obtenir les signaux relatifs aux efforts de tension dans l'élément de transmission de puissance, tel que le vilebrequin d'un moteur. De plus, le détecteur de magnétostriction peut comprendre des enroulements pour annuler des signaux d'interférence électromagnétique induits. Les détecteurs de magnétostriction peut également générer des signaux relatifs à la position de l'élément de transmsission de puissance outre l'effort de tension dans l'élément de transmission de puissance. Des techniques d'intégration dans l'espace peuvent être utilisées pour obtenir des signaux de contrainte/effort de tension qui sont indépendantes de la vitesse de rotation de l'élément de transmission de puissance. L'intégration spatiale peut être effectuée en utilisant les amplificateurs variables, des atténuateurs variables, des condensateurs commutés ou d'autres techniques.
