Abstract

Système de pile à combustible (10) dans lequel on utilise de l'azote gazeux (N2) sur la partie d'anode (11), et un mélange gazeux d'azote/oxygène (N2/O2) sur la partie de cathode (12), afin de maintenir la cathode à un potentiel de tension acceptable pendant des conditions défavorables se produisant notament dans des conditions de débit dans les heures creuses, par exemple, pendant l'arrêt, la mise en marche et les maintiens à chaud d'une centrale. Pendant l'arrêt de la centrale, la partie de cathode est purgée à l'aide d'un mélange gazeux composé, par exemple, d'un demi pourcent (0,5 %) d'oxygène (O2), et de quatre-vingt-dix-neuf pourcent (99,5 %) d'azote (N2) provenant d'un injecteur (21) introduisant de l'air (24/28) dans un courant (27) de haute pression d'azote (N2) utilisé comme gaz primaire ou majoritaire. L'éjecteur dose le gaz azoté sous haute pression à l'aide d'un orifice étranglé ou d'un venturi, et utilise l'énergie se trouvant dans le gaz provenant de l'orifice ou du venturi, afin d'aspirer l'air ambiant dans le courant d'azote avant qu'il ne pénètre la partie de cathode.
