  • Such devices have been known in the trade for professional use in cosmetic studios for many decades. They work with two rod-shaped electrodes which are held in one hand by the beautician when the device is in use and, if necessary with the interposition of a contact agent, placed on the customer's skin at desired locations. As a result, the circuit between the electrodes is closed over the customer's body and a current flows. The current in the customer's body is generated in accordance with the impulse applied to the electrodes and can be either pulsating or alternating direct current.
