Abstract

Pour déposer du métal sur une surface par exemple cylindrique, on a recours à un procédé d'atomisation par arc électrique au moyen d'une électrode consommable (16), d'une électrode non comsommable (18) et d'un jet de gaz de vaporisation (22) soufflé à travers l'arc (20) en direction radiale de manière à propulser le métal en fusion de l'électrode consommable depuis l'arc sur la paroi du cylindre (12). L'électrode non consommable et le jet de gaz de vaporisation tournent tous deux autour de l'axe du cylindre de sorte que la surface entière est recouverte. L'alimentation pour l'électrode consommable provient normalement d'une bobine qui peut être stationnaire de sorte que l'électrode consommable ne pivote pas sur son propre axe.
