Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a coating film unifomly containing solid lubricant particles in a flame spray coating process, by feeding a solid lubricant powder into a flame spray jet at a position apart from the top end of a torch. CONSTITUTION:A flame spray coating film 8 is formed on the surface of an object 9 in a jet spray coating method such as a plasma spray, arc spray or combustion gas flame spray method. In this process, a solid lubricant powder 6 is fed into a spray jet 7 of a main spray component at a position apart at least by 5mm. from the top end of a torch 1. Owing to this feed position, the solid lubricant powder 6 is protected from oxidation, denaturation and combustion. Consequently, it is possible to form a flame spray coating film 8 containing the solid lubricant particles 6 uniformly.
