Abstract

The device for wrapping products, such as packets of paper handkerchiefs, in packets with label, having a means for converying a strip (11) of flexible material, cutting it into sheets and wrapping the products in the sheets, and a means for depositing the labels at regular intervals on the strip is characterized in that it has a cutting mechanism (27) co-operating with a transfer mechanism (28) for cutting the labels from an ribbon (21) with adhesive applied to one surface and placing the said labels on the moving strip (11). The invention is applied in particular to the adhesive strips for affixing the flaps of packets of paper handkerchiefs. A strip of flexible material such as polyethylene is previously marked with a discontinuous cutting line which traces the outline of the flap, the adhesive strips are laid on the strip acrossthe flaps, and then the film is cut, transversally to its direction of motion into individual sheets (3) in which the packets (2) are wrapped.

REVENDICATIONS
