- Dans le cas particulier de l'étui de mouchoirs en papier, dont le rabat est formé par une partie de l'enveloppe elle-même, convenablement prédécoupée, la ligne de perforations est réalisée sur la bande de matériau souple avant sa transformation en étuis. Or, les prédécoupes sont autant de lignes de faiblesse susceptibles de céder sous l'action des diverses tensions qui s'exercent sur la bande souple dans son passage à travers la machine. Grâce aux étiquettes chevauchant les lignes de perforation, les risques de déchirure, voire de rupture de la bande sont de ce fait nettement réduits.
