Definitions
- Bridge member that can be used between abutment teeth and process_for_this manufacture
- the invention relates to a bridge member that can be inserted between abutment teeth and fixed to them by means of retaining elements and a method for its production.
- a bridge link is understood to mean the "replacement tooth element” filling the gap between two abutment teeth, which is fastened to the abutment teeth with holding elements.
- Such bridge members serve to close one tooth gap or, in the case of a specific indication, two tooth gaps that are not adjacent to one another in the posterior region.
- Numerous mechanical fastening and assembly devices and devices are already known which require a more or less intensive machining of the abutment teeth, such as grinding and installation of mounting devices. This work is sometimes difficult, in any case time-consuming and difficult for the patient, since the processing, such as grinding the abutment teeth, requires anesthesia.
- the invention is based on the object of creating a bridge member and a method for its production which can be used without grinding the abutment teeth and removed as often as required for control purposes can be .
- this object is achieved by a bridge member which is produced by the method of claim 1.
- the bridge member With this bridge member, at least parts of the two approximal surfaces of the bridge member are complementary to the approximal surfaces of the abutment teeth in the dental laboratory using impressions.
- This complementary design enables a positive connection between the abutment teeth and the bridge member according to the invention.
- the bridge link can be inserted from above between the abutment teeth with a positive fit. This can already prevent its rotation about the longitudinal axis between the abutment teeth and a movement out of the tooth front.
- occlusal support arms which extend sideways, that is to say mesially and / or distally, are formed on the approximal surfaces of the bridge member, which rest on the adjacent abutment teeth when the bridge member is inserted and thus prevent the bridge member from sinking in. A pressure load on the jaw area below the pontic is avoided in a safe manner. A certain space can even be ensured for flushing away food residues and the like.
- a receiving recess is formed in the back of the bridge member.
- This receiving recess serves to receive a support band extending below the tooth equator of the abutment teeth. After inserting the bridge member, this support band is attached, for example, by a screw connection and prevents the bridge member from being pulled out upwards.
- the pontic is held securely in place by the strap.
- a major advantage of the method according to the invention is that this bridge member can be manufactured considerably more cost-effectively than conventional bridges. This is extremely important because of the absolutely necessary cost reduction for dentures.
- mesial and / or distally extending support arms can advantageously be formed on the buccal edges of the approximal surfaces at the equatorial height of the pontic.
- the recording recess for that Training strap is advantageous to have the recording recess for that Training strap as a form-fitting fit.
- only one screw connection is required for fastening.
- a threaded hole is formed in the recess.
- a metal base body for the bridge member in the laboratory by means of an impression of the abutment teeth, which can then contact the abutment teeth in an approximate manner, at least on the tooth equator.
- the base body made of precious metal can then be veneered with a ceramic material.
- the mounting band can be a model cast band which, when inserted, is located horizontally below the tooth equator of the abutment teeth in the cervical direction.
- a bridge member which serves to close a gap or a plurality of individual gaps of a molar or premolar.
- This bridge member has a form-fitting fit curve of at least part of the approximal surfaces of the bridge member and occlusal support surfaces extending mesially and / or distally from these approximal surfaces.
- a support band extending below the tooth equator of the abutment teeth.
- the bracket band which can be screwed to the bridge member, is an at least three-part band. It advantageously has a middle fit section which can be inserted into the fit recess of the bridge member, thereby determining the relative position of this support band with respect to the bridge member.
- This bracket strap can be screwed to the bridge link in a detachable manner. Swings extend sideways from the snug insert section, which in the inserted state lie below the tooth equator of the abutment teeth.

- Fig. 2 is a schematic view of a between
- Fig. 3 is a schematic view of a bridge member inserted between abutment teeth of above
- FIG. 4 + 5 perspective views of the main bridge body from the front and rear
- Fig. 6 is a schematic sectional view of the bridge limb body shown in Figs. 4 and 5
- Fig. 7 is an exploded view of the bracket band.
- the bridge member 1 is inserted between the abutment teeth 4, 5.
- the approximal surfaces 2, 3 are complementary to the approximal surfaces 6, 7 of the abutment teeth 4, 5, so that the bridge member 1 can sit positively between the abutment teeth 4, 5.
- the bridge member 1 is held against being pulled out of this position by the mounting band 11 shown in FIG. 7.
- this mounting band 11 is screwed to the bridge member 1 with its section 17. From this section 17 extend rockers (12) which run below the tooth equator of the abutment teeth 4, 5.
- additional bearing rockers 13, 14 can be formed on the bridge member 1 on the buccal, that is to say on the cheek-side edges of the approximal surfaces 2, 3, which improve or supplement the form-fitting fit.
- These support rockers 13, 14 extend mesially and distally at the tooth equator height.
- Fig. 3 clearly shows the support of the support rockers 8, 9- of the bridge member 1 on the upper sides of the adjacent abutment teeth 4, 5. Furthermore, it is shown that the two rockers 12 of the support band fit positively on the back of the adjacent abutment teeth 4, 5, whereby this system takes place below the tooth equator of these abutment teeth 4, 5. The position of the rocker 12 below the tooth equator ensures that the bridge member 1 cannot be pulled out upwards.
- This bridge member 1 has a basic body. As shown, the complementary approximal surfaces 2, 3 are formed on this base body, furthermore the support rockers 8, 9 and the up Receiving recess 10 with the threaded bore 15.
- the receiving recess 10 is at such a height, in particular with respect to the support rockers 8, 9, that a mounting band 11 inserted into this receiving recess 10 can place its rockers 12 below the tooth equator of the adjacent abutment teeth in the inserted state.
- the base body of the bridge member 1 shown in FIGS. 4 to 6 is veneered with a ceramic material in the usual way.
- FIG. 7 shows a perspective view of the holding band 11.
- This holding band 11 has a section 17 with which this holding band 11 can be inserted into the receiving recess 10.
- the mounting strap 11 can be screwed on in a detachable manner by means of the screw 16.
- rockers 12 extend from section 17 on both sides. These rockers 12 are cast in the laboratory using the pillar tooth model. The shape of the rockers 12 is such that they form fit on the back of the abutment teeth 4, 5 below their tooth equator.
