Definitions

  • the invention relates to portable pliers with motor drive for irreversible jamming of C-shaped staples or the like. , in particular for the connection of similar elements, for example edges of wire mesh plates, such as those used for protective constructions against landslides and erosions.
  • Portable pliers with motor drive are already known for the purposes mentioned, which have a pair of mirror-symmetrically arranged clamping jaws, which are mounted on a support member in their central region and lie symmetrically to a plane which is parallel to the longitudinal extension the pliers run, and at their free ends, which protrude outwards and are normally spread, have seat grooves for the opposite, curved ends of the C-shaped cramps, each of which is in a position in which the open cramp egg ⁇ te to the ends mentioned, is inserted into the seat by a thrust plate acting on the back of the staple, which runs parallel to the clamping jaws and is actuated via a rod connected to it in such a way that it executes a reciprocating movement in the longitudinal direction; these pliers also have a stop which prevents the back of the cramp inserted into the seat grooves from retracting when the free ends of the clamping jaws come together to clamp the cramps.
  • the thrust plate lies in the plane in which the clamping jaws also lie, the rod connected to these being the piston rod of a double-acting, pneumatic working unit.
  • the insertion process of the staples into the seat grooves, which are incorporated into the free end sections of the clamping jaws, is ended as soon as the push plate has reached its end position in the direction of the seat grooves; The cramp is then compressed in its clamp position 1 while the thrust plate retracts into its opposite position.
