Definitions
- the present invention relates to a rotary tedder with a plurality of rotors, each rotator being arranged on a guide rail which is supported on the floor by means of an impeller and with a cross member which has at least one angular gear and at both ends of which at least one can be swiveled up Support beam part is articulated, each of which is rigidly connected to a guide rail.
- Rotary tedders of this type are used for tedding, turning, swath spreading or swathing, with working widths of up to approximately 7.60 m being achievable, depending on the number of rotors arranged next to one another. In order to transport such a rotary tedder from use to use, its width must be reduced to a permissible size.
- a rotary hay advertising machine with four tine rotors which is supported on the ground via supporting parts and is arranged on a chassis consisting of at least three parts which are connected to one another via universal joints, the outer chassis parts each moving upwards inclined swiveling axis of the two swiveling axes of the universal joint can be folded back into the transport position.
- the vertical axis of each universal joint forms at the same time the axis of rotation of the corresponding tine gyroscope.
- the two middle tine rotors cannot participate in the pivoting of the outer chassis parts relative to the middle chassis frame part against the direction of travel into the transport position and back into the working position, made possible by the upward pivot axis of the two pivot axes of each universal joint.
- the width of the machine in the transport position is accordingly determined by the normal working width of the two middle tine rotors. Since the middle chassis part forms a rigid section with the associated universal joints, the position of the two middle tine rotors arranged at the ends of the middle chassis part does not change with respect to this chassis part.
- a supporting beam part with a respective tine rotor each adjoins a central cross member with two tine rotors, each one by a horizontal one ; the pivot axis extending in the direction of travel of the machine can be pivoted upward so that the permissible transport width is not exceeded in this transport position.
- Another disadvantage here is that the outwardly extending tines of the rotors represent a possible danger for other road users.
- the object of the present invention is to improve a rotary tedder of the latter type in such a way that its transport width is reduced even further and that a possible risk of injury to other road users is reduced as much as possible.
- the rotating and pivoting arrangement has a turntable arranged at an angle to the vertical, the axis of rotation of which coincides with the center of gravity of the drive housing and the pendulum axis for the gyroscope of the supporting beam part.
- an articulated lever is arranged, one end of which is arranged on a rotary lever which is fixedly connected to the supporting beam part, while the other end is connected to one end of a pivoting lever which is connected to a piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder ⁇ cooperates.
- a spring is advantageously arranged on the housing of the universal joint for the supporting beam part, against the force of which the pivot lever can be pivoted into the transport position with the articulated lever and thus with the supporting beam part.
- a locking disk can be arranged parallel to the turntable and, together with a locking pawl, locks the supporting beam part both in the working position and in the pivoted transport position.
- the pawl can be unlocked using a cable that can be operated from the tractor seat.
- the rotating and pivoting arrangement can have a horizontal pivot axis arranged transversely to the axis of the supporting beam part, the supporting beam part being rotatably arranged in a guide sleeve on the pivot housing.
- a locking arrangement can also be provided here, which locks the supporting beam part in two positions.
- the rotating and pivoting arrangement can have a motor, the drive pinion of which cooperates with a toothed ring which is fixedly arranged on the supporting beam part.
- the rotating and pivoting arrangement can be a first half have a circular bevel gear segment which interacts with a second ring-shaped bevel gear segment arranged on the supporting beam part. It is particularly advantageous if the bevel gear segment has a stop on the supporting beam part, which is arranged at a distance from the first segment arc.
- the rotating and pivoting arrangement can have an actuating lever, one end of which is connected to the crossmember via an elongated hole and a bolt sliding therein, while the other end is connected to the supporting beam part via an articulated head with three degrees of freedom .
- the pivot lever of the supporting beam parts is preferably less than or equal to 90 ° and in particular approximately 70 °.
- the rotatable and pivotable gyros are each provided with a protective bracket, which pivot with the gyroscope in such a way that. they provide protection for subsequent road users.
- a traffic warning surface is fixedly arranged on the supporting beam part or on the protective bracket in such a way that it shows the exact transport width after swiveling up and turning.
- the outer rotors are rotated inwards when swiveling up, so that the tine tips of the rotors are set inwards and in this transport position no longer pose a danger to the other road users.
- the traffic warning surfaces are turned outwards so that they signal the permissible transport width and end with the outer edge thereof.
- the outer rotors can be swiveled up and rotated from the working position into the transport position and vice versa without the tractor driver having to leave the tractor.

- two guide bars 4, 5 with associated wheels 6, 7 are provided in order to guide the two rotors 8, 9 arranged on this cross member, while on the supporting beam part 12 a guide bar 14 with an associated wheel 16 is provided for the tine rotor 18 and on the supporting beam part 13 there is a guide bar 15 with an impeller 17 for the tine rotor 19 attached to it.
- the obliquely arranged turntable 24, the axis of rotation of which coincides with the pivot point of the universal drive joint 29 for the gyro 18 of the supporting beam part 9 and the pivot point for leveling this supporting beam part, is fixedly arranged on the cross member 1.
- a single-acting hydraulic cylinder 25, which is mounted on two pivot levers 21 (of which only one is shown in FIG. 1 for reasons of clarity) is used for pivoting the crossbeam part.
- Articulated levers 20 are arranged on these pivoting levers 21, which on the other hand engage a rotary lever 23 which is fixedly arranged on the crossbeam support 12.
- a locking pawl is designated which can engage in two recesses 27 'of the end sleeve 13' so as to lock the supporting beam part 13 once in the transport position and once in the working position.
