Abstract
Self-nesting hollow block made of hyper-pressed double compressed cold-stabilized earth, enabling the construction of jointless walls and of which the stability is provided by the vertical injection at its centre (1) and on both its extremities (2) and the horizontal injection (5-6) of liquid earth-cement mortar. Due to its multiple shapes - four -, said block enables the construction of a house which is entirely made of earth without using formwork, irons, stays or other materials, eliminates rough casting outside and inside, thereby resulting in important savings in cement and labour.
Description
•Bloc creux auto-emboitant en terre hyper-pressée à double compression et stabilisée â froid pour la construction sans joint."•Self-fitting hollow block in hyper-pressed earth with double compression and cold-stabilized for construction without joints.
The invention relates to a self-fitting hollow block in hyper-pressed earth with double compression and cold stabilization, characterized by a configuration allowing the construction of a wall without joints, and whose stability is ensured by the vertical, horizontal injection, in its center and on its two extremities, with liquid mortar.
Conventionally, today, self-interlocking blocks are made of cement, terracotta or other material, the assembly of which is necessarily done by mortar joints or by various industrial glues, these materials have qualities of resistance extremely important, but their lack of precision in their molding gives them a dimension that is rarely uniform and respected, which complicates their assembly and the shaping of the constructions and which involves adjustments in alignment, height and thickness, by often considerable external and internal plastering, with a very long exposure time and an equally important finish, requiring specialized labour. The device according to the invention eliminates all these easements and allows the construction of walls or other self-stable works, without joints, without interior and exterior plaster, with correct alignments and plumbs and perfect flatness of the walls, embellished by the relief artificial joints obtained by the beveled edges (8) provided for this purpose on the front faces of the block, and all this without skilled labor.
This block of cubic and rectangular shape (Fig I) 15 cms wide, 15 cms high and 30 : cms long has in its center a cylindrical orifice over the entire height with a diameter of 4.5 cms (1), and at the two ends 5 on the same longitudinal axis two half-holes over the entire height with a diameter of 4.5 cm (2), on either side of the central hole and between the two half-holes there is provided at the upper part two male bosses (3) 11 cm long, 3 cm wide and 2.5 cm high
10 à la partie inférieure est prévu un encastrement femelle(4) sur toute la longueur de 30 cms, largeur 3,5 cms et 4 cms de hauteur, recevant à l'assemblage les deux bossages mâles (3) avec sur les cotés un jeu de 0,25 cm (5) et sur le haut un jeu de 1,5 cm (5) permettant le passage et fixation du .5 mortier liquide injecté; de part et d'autre des bossages et orifices il est prévu sur toute la hauteur deux lumières de 2,5 cπs de largeur et 10 cms de longueur pour permettre une isolation par les colonnes d'air montantes qui forment un écran thermique sur toute 1-a surface des murs et faci-10 at the lower part is provided a female recess (4) over the entire length of 30 cms, width 3.5 cms and 4 cms height, receiving the assembly the two male bosses (3) with on the sides a game of 0.25 cm (5) and on the top a clearance of 1.5 cm (5) allowing the passage and fixing of the .5 injected liquid mortar; on either side of the bosses and holes, two lights 2.5 cπs wide and 10 cm long are provided over the entire height to allow insulation by the rising columns of air which form a thermal screen over the entire 1 -on the surface of the walls and

25 Pour la construction en général nous avons quatre for¬ mes de blocs : le bloc standard (Fig I) décrit ci-dessus le demi-bloc standard. (Fig II), le bloc d'angle (Fig III) et le bloc chaînage (Fig IV) .25 For construction in general we have four for¬ my blocks: the standard block (Fig I) described above the standard half-block. These blocks being obtained by double hyper-compression remain perfect when demolded, their deformation on drying is zero. This perfection of molding gives us the possibility of a mechanical assembly of the constructions with a significant saving of cement, and requiring only an unskilled workforce.

DECLARATION SELON L'ARTICLE 19DECLARATION UNDER ARTICLE 19
Amendments to the claims of my patent no. 02233 of April 18, 1986, registered with the PTC/BE under the number 86/00012, are established in order to clearly explain my invention, characterized by blocks with double interlockings, giving the possibility of adapting these elements to the construction without joint , walls or any other works, having the possibility of compensating for the irregularities of the blocks, both in the dimensions and in the external appearance, by the fact that the main object of my invention, namely double male and female interlockings, and interior joints by injection of mortar, does not include any servitude, such as, embeddings and rigid interlockings, operated at the same time on several faces of the block, it therefore allows a flexible linear assembly, thanks to the two bosses (Rep.3) completely free, with significant play in the female recess (Rep.4), and with the 2 vertical interior sides free of assembly, the joint of which is ensured by injecting mortar into the 2 half holes (Rep.2)- , in the center the orifice (Rep.l) ensuring a third vertical joint. These three vertical injections are obviously distributed throughout the female volume of the female recess (Rep.4). The manufacture of these blocks being ensured by steel moulds, and with a double compression, allows us to obtain in large production elements whose dimensions and external appearance are strictly respected, with a minimized variation tolerance. This precision cannot be obtained with concrete blocks or fired bricks.
