Abstract

The rectangular block has a mass of concrete (1) with facing (2) aoplied in the mould. The blocks are joined on non dressed faces by casting C-shaped metal profiles (4) with the outside edges returned so that an H shaped metal profile can be inserted vertically between two abutted profiles (4), pinning them together. A thin groove (8) is also cast into the blocks around all four faces so that a flexible weatherproofing sealing strip can be inserted both between blocks in the same course and between blocks in adjacent courses.

Description

The invention relates to a prefabricated building element, suitable for the realization of walls of all kinds, in particular for buildings, houses, villas, chalets .....

Due to their beautiful appearance, visible stone walls are in great demand, but the price of the stone and the high cost of labor required to assemble the stone walls considerably hinders the development of these walls.

The invention aims to provide a solution to this problem, by proposing a building element the use of which allows, under economic conditions, the production of walls having the appearance of stone walls. This building element consists, for this purpose, in a rectangular block of molded concrete containing "stone rubble" which are embedded in its mass and appear on at least one of its faces.

By the expression "stone rubble" is meant stones from quarries.

Such elements are produced by molding in parallelepiped molds, the dimensions of which determine those of the elements on the bottom of which the "stone stones" are deposited before the concrete is poured which serves as a link between these stones and constitutes the body of the element. The dimensions of the element can be any; and it is thus in particular that elements having a height of 50 cm, a thickness of 30 to 40 cm, and a length of 30 cm, 60 cm, 90 cm or im 20 can be provided. A building construction requiring that the elements are aligned and superimposed in staggered rows either in the same plane, or in planes making angles between them, it is of course necessary to combine between them elements of different length and to provide for the "stone rubble" to appear on all the visible faces of the elements and constitute them. This is how a normal element has a single main face of stone rubble, while a corner element has a main face and a transverse face formed by these rubble.

Prefabricated elements according to the invention are installed in the traditional way; but to avoid breaking the "stone" aspect of the wall made with such elements, it is preferable not to bond them together with mortar, but on the contrary to juxtapose and superimpose them without any play, with nevertheless a sufficient bond between them. This result is achieved by providing horizontal connecting means between the elements of the same row and connecting means or at least good positioning between the elements of a row and those of the upper and / or lower rows.

This horizontal connection is advantageously carried out by providing on each of the faces to be assembled of each element a hollow vertical profile which does not project beyond the face in question and allowing by keying its connection with the neighboring element. According to one embodiment, this section has the section of a U whose branches are curved towards one another and is associated with a key having a section in H whose two wings penetrate into the profiles of the two elements neighbors and whose friend passes through the openings left free by the branches of the U-profiles.

As for the positioning and alignment of the elements one above the other, it is advantageously obtained by giving the upper and lower faces of the elements a surface which is not planar, but comprising profiles allowing the elements to overlap the elements on the other.

According to another characteristic, it is finally planned to provide each element with a peripheral groove serving as a housing for a seal interposed between the various elements of the same row and those from one row to another.

Figure i en est une vue en perspective;
The invention will be well understood moreover and its advantages as well as other characteristics will emerge clearly from the description which follows, with reference to the appended schematic drawing representing, by way of nonlimiting example, an embodiment of this element of construction
Figure i is a perspective view;
Figure 2 is a vertical sectional view during its manufacture in a mold; and
Figure 3 is, on a larger scale, a horizontal sectional view of two such juxtaposed and assembled elements.

This construction element is constituted by a parallelepipedic mass 1 of concrete, at least one of the main faces of which is formed by stone rubble 2 which appears in relief over part of their thickness embedded in the mass of concrete i. Such an element lends itself to the realization of walls intended for any kind of construction: houses, villas, chalets, and to do this the elements are juxtaposed and superimposed as it is usual to do with construction elements of parallelepiped shape. it is however important to note that according to the destination of the element and more exactly according to its position in construction, it can be covered with stone rubble, not only on one of its main faces, but also on one or possibly on its two small lateral faces. In the case in fact where the element is visible only on one of the faces of the construction, only one of its main faces is covered with rubble Stone; on the other hand, in the case where the element is intended to constitute one of the angles of the construction, the stone stones are then visible not only on one of its two main lateral faces, but also on the one of its two secondary side faces.

In all cases, this building element is obtained by molding in a mold of generally parallelepiped shape.

This mold is designated by i in FIG. 2. The stone stones 2 are placed on the bottom of this mold and over its entire surface; and the concrete 1 is poured over these rubble stones, inside mEm- of the mold. After setting the concrete, the construction element is demolded.

il est à noter que l'opération de moulage permet de prévoir sur chacun des éléments de construction les divers moyens permettant, d'une part,leur liaison entre eux et, d'autre part, la réalisation d'une bonne étanchéité. it should be noted that the molding operation makes it possible to provide on each of the construction elements the various means allowing, on the one hand, their connection to each other and, on the other hand, the achievement of a good seal.

These connecting means are advantageously constituted, as shown in Figures 1 and 3, by two metal sections 4 having a general profile of U whose two branches are folded in the direction of one another. These two sections 4 define an enclosure inside which is not poured the concrete i constituting the body of the element. These sections 4 constitute, in combination with suitable keys, the means of connection between two neighboring elements. FIG. 3 shows in fact that this connection is obtained by virtue of a key 5 having a section in the general shape of an H, the two branches of which cover the folded parts of the branches of two adjacent sections 4.

Wedges 6 can advantageously be inserted between the profiles 4 and the key 2.

As for the means for achieving a good seal between the building elements of the same row and from one row to another, these are simple seals 7 which are positioned in a groove 8 coming from molding on the periphery of every building element.

It goes without saying that the invention is of course not limited only to the embodiments which have been described and shown above, on the one hand for the connection means, and on the other hand for the connection means. sealing between the various construction elements; on the contrary, it embraces all of its variant embodiments.
