DESIGN FOR STOVES.
Specification forming part of Design No. 9,33 l., dated J une 6, 1876; application filed May 22, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, APoLLos RICHMOND, of Brooklyn, in the county ot' Windham and State ot' Uonnecticut, have invented au Improved Design for Stoves, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying photographic illustration or drawing, making a part of this specilcation.
A represents the body of the stove, which is round, except as broken for the necessary doors and back iiues. O is an upper molding or cornice, projecting over the body of the stove. B is the lower molding. `D is a door for the oven, which is ornameuted with double rows of tinted or ribbed molding, rounded at the upper corners and having the inner lower corners furnished with trefoil prolongations. F is the top, circular, excepting the prolongation upon one side of the stove-pipe. E is the leg, ornamented by uted moldings, forming a T-shaped ornament, Gr, with ornaments on the body of the stove. The top of the stove is merged into a shelf, H, of circular exterior, which surrounds the pipe and is dush with the general top, of which it forms a part.
The form of lthe stove, while presenting a pleasing appearance to the eye, a'ords great [Term of Patent 14 years] economy of space, and avoids broken corners.
I am aware that round cast-iron heatingstoves are not new; but this design, intended for cookngstoves which gives space for ovens and yet avoids angles, is my own designing. I intend to make application for a mechanical patent covering the peculiar structure and form ot' stove or range.
Having described my design, as my invention is 1. The design for the body of a cookingstove, which is round, except as it is broken by the doors, moldings, and back ducs, substantially as shown and illustrated in the accompanying photographs.
2. The design consisting of the ornamentation ou the body of the stove, and of the door D, as shown.
3. The design for the ornamentation of the feet of the stove, as shown.
4. lhe design for the top, Which, heilig round in shape, unites with a shelt' of circular exterior, and merges into and forms a part of it, as illustrated. l
