Specificatiim forming part of Design No. 6,588, dated April 15, E73: application filed April 8, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALFRED HEALD, of Philadelphia, connl)oflhiladclphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a Design for Carpet-Pattern, of which the following is a specification:
The figure in the accompanying drawing clearly represents my design for a carpet-pat tern, the principal features of which are the bands A, B, and O, crossing each other at right angles and inclosing square or diamond shaped figures D. Each of the hands A, B, and C has upon both sides an ornamental edging, a, and the interior is occupied by foliated ornamentation, all of a character too clearly shown in the drawing to need description.
The edgings a of the bands inciose and form the hori'lers of the square or diamond shaped figures D, each of the latter having a central ornament, c, surrounded by four corner ornaments, (1, composed of small dots, as shown.
Irrespective of the colors em played, I claim The design for a carpet-pattern, substantially as described, and as reprcsentedin and by the accompanying drawing.
