DESIGN FOR A-BUTTON.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 13,048, dated July 18, 1882.
Application filed May "22, 1882. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that 1, JOHN A. DEKNATEL, of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new 5 and original Design for Buttons, of which the following is a full, clear, andexact description.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part of this specification, in which my newly-designed button is shown.
10 The leading feature of my design consists in a flower crossed by two bars. In the specimen shown an open tulip is crossed by two bars, the edges ofthe bars and the flower being raised and polished. The sides of the flower I5 and of the bars are beveled. The button is provided with a row of fine heads along its circular edge.
I have shown and described two crossing bars; but one or more transverse or diagonal 20 bars may be provided.
This design may also be used for breastpins, medallions, and other like disk ornaments.
Having thus fully described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- 25 1. The hereiirdescribed design for hutton consisting of a flower cross d by lmrs, as set forth.
2. The herein-described design for buttons. consisting of a tulip crossed by d agonal bars, 0 as set forth.
3. The herein-described design for buttons, consisting of a flower crossed by bars and of a row of small heads at the edge of the button, as set forth.
