DESIGN FOR A LAMP-BODY.

SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design NO. 35,116, dated. October 21, 1902.

To all whom, t may concern:

Be it known that I, WILLIAM GRAY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Amesbury, in the county of Essex and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design foraLamp-Body, of which the following is a specification.

Referring to t-he drawings which illustrate my new and original ornamental design for a 1amp-body, Figure l is a front view in elevation. Fig. 2 is a side view in elevation. Fig. 3 is a top plan view.

The letter A designates the central or main body portion, which is elliptical in shape; B, a frusto-conical reflector extending inwardly from the front or face of the body; O, an ornamental beading encircling the front; D, the convex rear surface, with a projection at the center thereof; E, a lens set in the front of the body; F, the ornamental beveled edge of the lens; G, the curved surfaces of the sides of the body; H, a curved surface extending from the beading C to the curved surface G, as shown; I, a beading encircling the body at the junction of surface H with surfaces G of the side; J, the top of the lampbody.

K designates a substantially rectangular disk located above the portion J, which latter tapers upwardly and has four concave surfaces L, those opposite each other being of approximately the same area; M, an ornamental beading at the edge of the said rectangular disk; N, a concavo-convex cap circular in outline supported by uprights O some distance above the rectangular disk; I), an ornamental circular beading below the uprights; Q, a curved handle; R R R, ornamental rivets arranged in series, as shown; S,a cylindrical portion projecting downwardly from the main body portion; T, the concave surface of the portion S, which has an ornamental band U, circular in shape; V, an ornamental circular beading, and W is a convex surface joining the beading U and the bottom.

To the eye the lamp-body as a whole presents the appearance of a structure having a main body portion elliptical in shape, from the upper part of which springs a top with tapering concave sides surmounted by a rectangular disk, above which is located in a parallel plane a convex disk and from the lower part of which main body portion depends a cylindrically-shaped portion with a concave circular surface, the said main body portion, top, and depending portions being provided with ornamental rivets and beadings disposed as set forth and shown.

Having described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent,

The ornamental design for a lamp-body, as shown and described.
