DESIGN FOR A LADYS HAT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,766, dated September 5, 1893.
Application filed August 14, 1893- Serial NOABB MBI Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN D.STANGE, acitizen of the United States, residing in the city and county of San Francisco, State of California, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Ladies Hats,of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, showing a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a side View of the hat. is a perspective view of the same.
The leading features of my design consist of a horizontal crown or disk projecting beyond the body all round, and a straight horizon tal visor projecting from the bottom of the body toward the front and parallel with the crown.
A is the body of the hat which is approximately cylindrical in its general contour, and

20 B is the crown in the form of a single circular flat disk secured to the top of the body, so that its periphery projects equally all around the top of the body and ataconsiderable distance beyond it.
C is the visor which fits around the front portion of the bottom of the body and projects horizontally forward therefrom and in a plane approximately parallel with the crown.
Having thus described my design, what I claim is-- The design for hats herein shown and described, the same comprising the cylindrical vertical body, the horizontal circular single disk crown projecting beyond the upper periphery of the body, and a horizontally projecting visor approximately parallel with the crown as set forth.
