UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
CHARLES E. WILLIAMS, OF SHERIDAN, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR AN ENVELOP-BLANK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,77 7, dated July 16, 1901.
Application filed May 15, 1901. Serial No. 60,401. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES E. WILLIAMS, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Sheridan, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for an Envelop-Blank, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
This invention relates to certain new and original designs in envelop-blanks; and it consists in the novel form, shape, and configuration, as shown in the drawing, all of which will be hereinafter fully described and specifically claimed.
In the accompanying drawing, which shows a plan View of my new envelop-blank, the reference-numeral 1 indicates the side Wings, the upper outer corners of which have curved portions 2, terminating in a contracted end 3. The upper edge of said side wings is straight, and the lower edge 4 is at an angle thereto. At 5 a substantially V-shaped opening is formed, one side of which extends downwardly in alinement with 4; and terminates 25 in a tongue 7, having its end rounded. The flap 8 is of less size than the lower one and carries two upward extensions 9, having square ends. These extensions are at an angle to the sides of flap 8 and incline toward one another.
It will be seen that the herein-described envelop-blank consists of curves and straight lines, producing a uniform design which is highly attractive in general appearance and most pleasing to the eye.
Having fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for an envelop-blank, substantially as described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
CHARLES E. WILLIAMS.
