CHRIS KNUTSEN, OF PORT TOlVNSEND, WASHINGTON.
DESlGN FOR A HARP-GUITAR FRAME.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,300, dated February 15, 1898.
Application filed May 17,1897. Serial No. 636,996- Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, CHRIS KNUTSEN, a citien of the United States of America, residing at Port Townsend, in the county of Jefferson and State of Washington, have invented a certain new Design for a Harp-Guitar Frame, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
My invention relates to a design for a harpguitar frame. It relates to the entire configuration of the frame, and especially to the design for a harp-guitar frame as illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which the figure is a perspective View of the harp-guitar frame embodying my design.
The leading features of my design appear in the following description.
The body approximates in shape the usual guitar form, from which the longitudinal fret-arm and finger-board extends and which terminates in the approximately V-shaped keyboard. On the left of the upper end of the body a harp-shaped arm extends longitudinally, its converging sides tapering gradually outward from the fret-arm, thence somewhat abruptly inward where itjoins the keyboard, and the side of the arm contiguous to the keyboard is formed with an auxiliary keyboard or peg-head, as shown. On the body of the guitar-frame there appears two hearts, with their apices turned outward, and centrally below them is a five-pointed star. On the arm a crescent bisected by a diamond is seen.
Having thus fully described my design, what I claim is-- The design for a harp-guitar frame, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I hereunto affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
CHRIS KNUTSEN.
