Description
DlZ-ZO. OR D 339789 EX DESIGN.
No. 33,789. Patented Dec. 25, I900. S. A. MORGAN.
TUB FASTENER.
(Application filed Nov. 6, 1900.)
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
STEPHEN A. MORGAN, OF COALGATE, INDIAN TERRITORY, ASSIGNOR OF ONE-THIRD TO JOSEPH A. BOGY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A TUG-FASTENER.
SPECIFICATION formingpart Of Design N0. 33,789, dated December 25, 1900.
Application filed November 6, 1900. Serial No. 35,676. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, STEPHEN A. MORGAN, acitizen of the United States, residing at Coalgate, ChoctawNation, Indian Territory, have invented and produced a new and useful Design for Tug-Fasteners, of which the followinn. is a specification.
My invention relates to tug-fasteners; and my object is to produce a new and useful design for the same.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 represents an end view of a tug-fastener embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a front view of the same. Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the same. Fig. -L is a plan view of the same.
As shown, the leading or material feature of the design consists in its peculiar shape or configuration, the same resembling the letter 8 when viewed from the end, the same letter with a laterally-projecting cross-bar or arm when viewed in perspective, a vertical elliptical loop having a horizontal cross-bar when viewed from the front, and an obtuse angle with laterally-projecting arms when viewed from above.
Minor features of the design reside in the pointed inner end of the cross-bar or arm, in the pointed free end of the body portion of the figure, and in the approximately ellipticshaped head at the outer end of said crossbar or arm.
Referring to the drawings in detail, the central part of the body portion of the figure numbered 1 extends substantially downward and forward. The lower half of said portion in conjunction with the upweirdly-projecting pointed portion 2 forms the upwardly-disposed hook or loop 3, while the upper part of said portion in conjunction with the downwardly-projecting arm 4 forms a downwardlydisposed hook or loop 5, the terminals of said portions 2 and l occupying about the same horizontal plane. The portion 4 forms a junction at its lower end with the horizontal arm 6, which projects to the left and terminates in a pointed end 7 and to the right and terminates in a tapered elliptical head 8, said head extendingat an angle of about forty-five degrees to the perpendicular.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a tug-fastener substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
STEPHEN A. MORGAN.
