UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HARVEY A. MOYER, OF SYRACUSE, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR A THILL-COUPLING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,054, dated September 3, 1901.
Application filed August 5, 1901. Serial No, 70,984. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HARVEY A. MOYER, a citizen of the United States, anda resident of Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga, in the 3 State of New York, have invented a newand original Design for a Thill-Coupling, of which the following, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a full, clear, and
exact description.
Figure 1 is a side View of a thill-coupling, showing my design; and Fig. 2 is a front end view of the same.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of my design consist of the 3 peculiar shapes of the base A and its cap B upon the front end portion of said base. The minor peculiarities of the shape of said base are the horizontal top a of the rear end portion thereof, terminating in the vertical upward offset b, from whence it is curved upward, as shown at c, at the end of which the top is formed with a segmental depression (I and with the short straight portion (2, terminating in another segmental depression f. The
5 more important feature of my design is the shape of the under side of the base A, which is formed with the horizontal rear end portion g, at the forward end of which it is curved arch shape, as shown at h, and thence formed with downward tongue-shaped exten- 3o t' i, as shown at Z, and terminates at the front edge of the segmental depression f in the top of the said base. The cap B has its front end curved, as shown at at, corresponding to the depression f, in which it lies. Said end of the cap is perforated at 0. The bottom of the cap is formed with the segmental recess p near the center of its length and is thence curved rearward and upward, as shown at r. The top of the cap is curved upward and rearward from the end 11 and thence downward and upward, as shown at t, and meets the rear end of the bottom portion 0.
Having described my design, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a thill-coupling as herein shown and described.
HARVEY A. MOYER.
