To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that LFERDINAND E. LIBENOW', a citizen of the United States, residing at Spokane, in the county of Spokane and State of ashington, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Lanterns; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, in which- Figure l is a side elevation of my design for a lantern. Fig. 2 is a horizontal section taken on the line 2 2 of Fig. 1..
My design embodies a representation of a body portion having a cylindrical shape and consisting of a lower part (L, having straight sides a, whichwnerge at the lower end into a bottom member o The upper ends of the sides a merge with a series of horizontal heads I), which taper inward to produce a shoulder or bnlgingpart U, which ends at the lower end of an upper body portion 0, which is of less diameter than the part a.
