DESIGN FOR AN AX.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,287,
dated October 2, 1900.
Application filed August 30, 1900. Serial No. 28,611- Term of patent 3% years.
To (11 whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, GOTLIEB ZUMBACH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Helvetia in the county of Randolph and State of West Virginia, have invented and produced a new and originalDesign for an Ax, of which the following is a specification.
My invention is a design for an ax; and it consists in the shape and configuration illustrated in the accompanying drawing, which shows an ax-head detached from the handle or helve.
The reference-numeral 1 designates the body of the ax, formed with the usual eye or socket 2 and a cutting edge 3. The side of the ax opposite to the nuttine, edge 3 is in the form of a compound curve t and terminates in :1 prong or projection 5. The front edge 6 is also in the form of acompound curve.
The leading feature of the design is the prong or projection 5, one side of which forms the convex continuation of the compound curve 6, while its opposite side 7 is the concave portion of the compound curve 4:.
I claim- The design for an ax herein shown and described.
