DESIGN FOR A KNOB FACE OR CAP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,620, dated May 1, 1900.
Application filed April 4,1900. Serial No. 11,540. Term of patent 311 years.
To @135 whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, LOUIS I-I. WALES, aciti zen of \the United States, residing at New Britain, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Knob Faces or Cape, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a front elevation of a knob face or cap, showing my design. Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the same.
As shown in the drawings, the contour of my knob-face in front view is in the form of an ellipse or oval figure. At the rear edge there is a rounded shoulder or bead 3, and in front of the said bead are a second rounded head 4 anda parallel series of circular beadlike ornaments 5. In the center is a plane oval figure 6, slightly projecting from the surrounding portion. In the space between the central oval figure 6 and the series of bead-like ornaments 5 is a series of ornaments 7, composed of scroll branches, leaflets, and flowers, all as shown.
