To'all whom 'it 'ma/y concern:
Be it known that I, FRANCIS D; Pasronrus, of the city of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have originated and designed a nen/*Pattern for a Machine- Frarne or Housing, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specication, in Which- Figure 1 is a side view, and
Figure 2, an end view.
Similar letters refer to similar parts in the two views.
The housing or frame is constructed with its sides A and B, iig. 2, joined together in the casting by the webs a, at both ends.
The design consists in the configuration of the sides A and B, as follows The verticale b are perpendicular, and connected at their upper ends by the arch c. The inner edge of the verticale and arch is as follows: Beginning at the top with the Gothic arch f,l from the ends of which the lines g g extend outwardly in contrary directions, and connect with the agiata-reversa curves h, the ends of which in turn connect with the curved projections l l, on both sides. The remaining parts of the inner edge consist of the verticals b, as shown.
The housing or frame, as shown, can be used for any of the various light machines in which the cutters or knives are required to move in a direct vcrticalliue, by means of guides, which are formed in between the sides A and B, as, for instance, vegetable-cutting machines, root-cutters, and tobacco-machines.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-,
