DESIGN FOR AN IRON WASH-STAND SLAB.

The Schedule referred to in these Lettera Patent and making part o! the same.

To all whom, it may concern Be it known that I, JORDAN L. MOTT, of Mott Haven, in the county of Westchester, and State of New York, have originated a new Design for an Iron lash-Stand Slab, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification, and in which- Figure 1 represents a plan of a wash-stand slab, made according to my new design, and

Figure 2, a section of the same, taken as indicated by the line a: x in iig. 1.

Figure 3 is a sectional view, on an enlarged scale, of one ofthe sides, border, and portion of the base-plate of the slab.

Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.

My new design for iron wash-stand slabs, as depicted in the accompanying drawing, embraces a iiat overlapping border, of straight configuration at its back a, and straight, in right-angled directions to said back portion, at its sides b b, for a portion of their length, excepting at their inner union with such back portion, where they have a concave configuration, as at c c, and said sides b b of such flat border being curved, as at d cl, in front, to join the front portion e of said border, which front portion lies parallel with the back portion a.

The sides ff of the stand, all around it, which unite the base-plate g with the flat overlapping border hereinbefore referred to, dip downward, for the most part, in straight lines, inclining inwardly in a downward direction, but forming their junction with the base-plate by rounded or hollow angles h h, and their junction with the flat border by angles or bends 'i i, which are curved where they join the sides f f, but straight or flat, or nearly so, where they meet the flat border, so as to present a sharp inner edge, 7c k, all around said border.

The base-plate g has its circular basin-aperture, or opening m through it bordered or bound by a flange, n, which is rounded on its upper edge, and shelved or rounded off below, on its inside, and is made to dip below the under surface of the plate g, to which, at its back or outer surface, it forms a straight junction, at right angles or thereabout with the under surface of said plate.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for iron wash-stand slabs, as herein described, and represented in the accompanying drawing.
