TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that I, H. P. TILDEN, of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and improved Design for Skates; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to understand the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification.

The present invention relates to a design for the runners or blades of skates, and consists in giving to the same a general wavy outline and escalloped shape along the upper edge of the blade or runner, and the posts of the same.

In the accompanying plate of drawings, my improved design is illustrated, the figure being a side view of a runner or blade of my improved design.

A, in the drawings, represents the blade or runner to a skate, the upper edge B of which, together with the posts C, is made of a general wavy or scalloped shape at various points D, producing the outline shown in the drawings.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design for the runner-blade of skates, substantially as herein described and shown in the drawings.
