Be it known that I, ALEXANDER- BECK, ol' Philadelphia., county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented or producetl a new and original Design for a Carpet Pattern; and I do hereby declare that thc accompanying drawing, and the following explanation thereof, form a full, clear, and exact description of the said design.

In the drawing, Figure 1 represents one-half of a strip of a hall or stair carpet, and Figure 2 the same with sundry dark part; removed for the better illhstration 0i' the pattern. The line A represents the outer edge of the carpet, and the line B the middle of the same, longitudinal striped ornaments, clearly illustrated in the drawing, extending throughout the entire length of the piece.

I claim the design for a carpet pattern, substantially as represented in and by the accompanying drawing.

In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
