Be it known that I, WILLIAM IMAS'IRS, of the city, county, and State of New York, have originatedsni and useful Design for Smoking Pipes, of which the following is a. full, clear, and exact description, being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification, and in which- Figures 1 and 2 represent opposite side views of a. pipe covering, ornamented with or made according the design herein referred to. r

' The design, which is arranged on the bowl portieri of the pipe, is made up of emblems or symbols of masonic type or character, the same consisting, on one side of' the pipe, as represented in iig. 1, of two pilla! surmounted each by a. globe, with an all-seeing eye" between them, Compasses and square crossing each oth and enclosing the letter G, together with a. trowel and star below a line, connecting the two pillars at their bas and outside of either pillar, near their bottom, u, fleur de 12's, surmount-ed by u star, while the opposite si of the bowl is ornamented. as represented in; iig. 2, with a building, which may bc termed Solomons templ surmounte'd by n globe and instrument having three legs, and resting on a ground base having a star below nd terminating at either end in a fleur de Zz's, with star above.
