DESIGN FOR A TRADE-MARK.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and `making parl: of the lame.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, D. Fonnsrnn, of Zanesville, in the county of Muskingum, and State of Ohio, have invented a new and original Design for a Trade-Mark for Crackers; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof', which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification.
This invention relates to anew and original design for a trade-mark for cocoanut-crackers; and it consists in a representation of a branch of a cocoanuttree, with leaves and two cocoanuts attached, the word Cocoanut being marked on the fruit, the name Foersters over the top, and the word Crackers underneath, so that, with the design or illustration, the manufactnrcrs name and the article manufactured will be combined.
The accompanying drawing represents my design, A being a portion or branch of a cocoanut-tree, B, leaves thereof, and C C, two cocoanuts on the branch.
The word Cocoanut is painted, stencilled, or otherwise marked on the fruit or nuts, the word Foersters above the branch, leaves, and fruit, and the word Crackers underneath them, as clearly shown in the drawing.
Having thus described Iny invention,
I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent- A design for a trade-mark for crackers, substantially as herein shown and described.
